What's your Greggs order

Just got to work and realised I've left my lunch at home.
Will have to pop to Greggs for a tuna crunch baguette.
What do you usually have?

What's a Bavarian slice?

It’s the one with pastry cream, flaky pastry and white icing with the chocolate pattern on top.

Kongking12 · 04/02/2026 15:39

My hungover Greggs order when I was at uni was 2 sausage rolls, a packet of ready salted walkers crisps and an original lucozade.

If I had one now it would be sausage roll still, used to like steak bakes but went off them. Maybe a pizza slice if I wasn't in the mood for pastry or I used to like those Mexican chicken oval sandwiches.

Is that the name for them 😆 🤣. I didn't even know that!!

Also called vanilla slice!

LeDix · 04/02/2026 15:41

Steak bake and a cream donut please

Tarkan · 04/02/2026 15:41

Steak bake if the tray is more than half full or a chicken bake if the tray is properly full. You need those hot. If not then a sausage roll but if there’s a wait for them then either the chicken mayo or chicken club baguette.

I’ll get a drink from the Home Bargains or Poundland a few doors down though. Much cheaper.

gototogo · 04/02/2026 15:44

The meal deal of a ham and cheese baguette, latte and a sausage roll, I buy on way to work so sausage roll and latte is breakfast then baguette is lunch

Thank you! I'll look out for it. I did have a little moment where I imagined it might be a Black Forest thing. That would be my dream come true.

Ohhh well thats what i know them to be called!!

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 04/02/2026 15:54

Wish they’d stop putting chuffing mayo on all their sandwiches. There’s never any cheese and ham left so I usually end up with just a sausage roll or a sausage, bean and cheese pasty. I do like their hot though.

mynameisjeff20 · 04/02/2026 15:57

Pink jammy donut is elite

Moonlightfrog · 04/02/2026 15:59

If I wasn’t on a diet I would go for the sausage, cheese and bean melt and a pink doughnut…..but usually I go for the chicken flat bread.

alcoholfreelife · 04/02/2026 16:06

Steak bake, Bacon and cheese wrap, Jam donuts and a full fat coke. I’m obviously very health conscious that’s why I pick the jam donuts as the jam has fruit in….

Ted27 · 04/02/2026 16:06

Sausage roll and a jam doughnut

I'm old enough to remember when Greggs was a bakery and sold bread and not much else

BearSoFair · 04/02/2026 16:10

I'm a Greggs sandwich maker but have actually never tried a tuna crunch - the tubs tend to ping droplets of tuna-y water over you when you open them which is quite offputting at 6am 😫

I miss the feta, red pepper and spinach bake from summer, praying they make a return this year! Although I do have a stash of them in the freezer that I bought before they de-listed, but they never taste the same at home

FurForksSake · 04/02/2026 16:20

@BearSoFair ahhhhh an insider, a sandwich artiste. What should we be buying and what should we be avoiding?

watermybegonias · 04/02/2026 16:21

I used to love their cinnamon buns, but they don't do them any more weeps

I usually go for a gingerbread man, as I don't like pastry very much.

patooties · 04/02/2026 16:23

Steak bake in the winter. Tuna crunch in summer.

IfyouStealMySunshine · 04/02/2026 16:45

Sausage roll, mocha and a custard slice

Now this warrants an AMA surely!

Also I get the 6am tuna water being a bit Sad as we have cats who like an early breakfast! The intermingled smells of cheap own brand coffee and expensive Sheba fish selection in jelly is not pleasant…

Notmytelescope · 04/02/2026 17:43

1 sausage roll and a black coffee

Seconded.

I'm really boring.
I only like the tuna crunch and maybe a piece of Tottenham cake.
Maybe I should diversify...🤔

Is Tottenham cake a regional thing like Manchester Tart ,chorley ,Eccles cake?
Im in the Northwest and i have never seen it in Greggs local to me
I too like a Tuna crunch ,and a Mexican oval bit
Their cheese and onion crisps are really nice too very strong flavour.

Coffeeishot · 04/02/2026 18:43

HRTQueen · 04/02/2026 14:10

vegetable bake slice (only recently discovered this gastronomical delight)
shortbread biscuit with a jam heart
and a flat white

They are nice but you need to get them when it is warm .

BauhausOfEliott · 04/02/2026 15:08

Very rarely get to go in a Greggs, probably twice a year or thereabouts, but if I do:

Sausage cheese & bean bake
Tea
Belgian bun

I would have Tottenham cake if they sold it where I live but they don’t! I’m from London originally and my Nan made Tottenham cake almost every week, and it was always on my school menu, but I live in Manchester now where it’s sadly lacking ☹️

Yes but we do have Manchester Tart!
