i got the mythical creature station thanks.

I’m so confused about the wasps and hay bale and what they’re doing… Is it an obscure station?

I don’t think so, it’s famous location in history. Think of angry wasps and allergies.

Thanks - obvious when you finally get it!

I have 41 now 😄

Choux · 01/02/2026 23:14

Oh help me out please! I have two to get:

the swimming pool. I see the colour of the water and have tried it with North, South and Central but none are right. Edit: I got it - finally!!!

the tattoo one - I don’t understand the clues people gave for that.

Choux · 01/02/2026 23:31

Ok I am now in the group with 41 correct answers. Are there two acceptable answers for one of the pictures?

There’s 41 clues

Tarkan · 01/02/2026 23:50

I’ve got 40 but I still don’t have the piper and witches even with the clues in here. 😫

ETA: Found it! I’d already gone through the Wiki station name pages but that was when I had lots to do so it was a bit easier when I was looking for one thing in particular.

Name for what an older lady might well be and what she is holding up.

Pensionerthumb??! I just can't work that one out.

What relation might she be to someone? Then the thumb!

EtonMessy · 02/02/2026 07:50

I thought I had them all as says 40/40 and that I have all the stations . Looking at it again this morning , I’ve realised I haven’t got the chicken egg laptop one. Need another clue .

HussyOfTheCulDeSac · 02/02/2026 07:52

I’m stuck with the chefs in the corn, the footballer with the strawberry, and the ladies talking behind the other ladies back. Apparently there are 2 more that I’m missing but I can’t work out which ones they are 😂

The chicken egg laptop one is say what you see. Think an action word and what app the hen is using.

The chef one is easy and well known location, give it another day to mull over. Footballer with strawberry is a nickname for their team + type of fruit.

I didn’t understand the 3 ladies excluding one I guessed it so I’ll leave clues for that to someone else.

Seainasive · 02/02/2026 08:44

There is an old fashioned expression for excluding someone

That one took me a while because I’d never used that app.

Im still missing a few which haven’t been mentioned so I assume I’ll kick myself - the thing that looks like a cross between a phone and a typewriter and the shed up a slope

The communications device is also an old fashioned item, the days before email, and it has a halo above its head denoting its status. It did take me a while, it’s one I had no idea yesterday morning and then a couple of variations of these meanings got me to the answer in the evening. Dead phone.

There’s been a few clues on the shed here, not about the shed but the mechanism on the door. I was going around with padlock/paddock but it’s a different mechanism.

zzpled · 02/02/2026 09:38

@ErrolTheDragon - the thing that looks like a cross between a phone and a typewriter is a fax machine. Which is really all you need to know for that clue!

zzpled · 02/02/2026 09:39

@BakeOffRewatch - Interesting, I didn't associate the halo with death. Could have been a clue for sainthood (ie place name starting with St) but I didn't think of that either. One for a future puzzle!

Where would you find corn?

My first thought when I saw it was “dead phone” then moved onto your thinking - I don’t know how direct we should be with clues here. The point is to make your neural pathways fire up, particularly ones that take a long time connecting obscure words and images!

I'm stuck on the locked shed, the King next to tower Bridge and the mythical creature next to the barrel with an S on it. People have posted clues but I am non the wiser.

BreadstickBurglar · 02/02/2026 10:10

Thanks everyone for playing it with me. I hadn’t thought of the fact that it’s obscure deliberately to help us think laterally! Makes sense. I’ve also got 41/40! What’s that about?

The mythical creature (some would say it's not a myth...) is the Loch Ness Monster. The barrel is one that would contain beer.

Locked shed: the type of fastening on the door. Need to squint or zoom in on a monitor screen - don't assume it's a padlock.

King next to Tower Bridge: the station name is commonly known as two words but it's official name in the railway world is three words because it includes the name of the city. The bridge location is a clue to that third word.

Thank you, I have the King and the bridge.
Still stuck with the beer. Barrelness? Beerness?

I can't see the lock very well. Combination shed is clearly not a station. Combo-something?

zzpled · 02/02/2026 11:10

Still stuck with the beer. Barrelness? Beerness?

There's a specific name for a small barrel.
