Ripton Ripperton - another word for rip, in the past tense.

beeston honeyton waxton - you're almost there with one of those. It's a soundalike.

ant sketch - what is the person drawing with?

beef knot - not beef, a pork product.

lips on scale - a word that encompasses more than lips.

Lefthandant? 🤣

zzpled · 01/02/2026 13:16

@BakeOffRewatch - There's more than one ant. Which is a pretty good clue in itself.

crocodilesnap · 01/02/2026 13:10

So short form of what they’re doing, on what surface and then the last word

Another place I've never heard of! Thanks though

I know the tattoo one but no idea how to phrase it as a clue!

I only got it because I know the place name from train services that call there. I don't think it's a place that's widely known?

Got it! Thank you.

i got 19 myself, 5 with help (Carl, Ants, dog on river, ten bees, anvil). Will leave it until
tomorrow now as some of those 5 I might have got after some more time. Thanks everyone!

Oh, I've realised I got the same city for two of the clues.

The witches and the hikers excluding one person.

So did I, and then I saw the other witch one when I accidentally clicked on the answers (hadn’t realised there were any answers on the page!)

up to 38!

OP posts:

One left - the guy with the strawberry.

Just got the talking pigs one, but I swear I'd tried that answer before

BadgernTheGarden · 01/02/2026 13:54

If that's the sort of thing you have to do to show you don't have Alzheimer's, I'm turning myself in.

Seainasive · 01/02/2026 13:58

3 left. The high security shed, the strawberry guy and the number 10 shirt

EmeraldRoulette · 01/02/2026 14:09

I thought i had it but it turns out it isn't a station!

BobBobBobbing · 01/02/2026 14:24

Seainasive · 01/02/2026 14:31

This is more about the type of lock on the shed

Thank you! I've got them all!

PerkingFaintly · 01/02/2026 14:48

By the way, thank you for the excellent hints on this thread. I was absolutely stymied.

BobBobBobbing · 01/02/2026 14:51

Am now sending to the rest of the family to ruin their day Grin

Thank you for the hints everyone. Brain has definitely had a work out today.

Who does he play for?

none of the stations near the stadium seem to have any connection to strawberries. 🍓

Sinkingfeeling952 · 01/02/2026 15:15

Seainasive · 01/02/2026 15:04

none of the stations near the stadium seem to have any connection to strawberries. 🍓

So it’s a nickname for the team he plays for and then say “berry” in a northern accent

Seainasive · 01/02/2026 15:04

Its the nickname for the team with a sound-a-like suffix added on. (Don't use the whole of the word strawberry, just the end bit)

I think the words can sound different in different dialects so that might not help!

Squidgytoo · 01/02/2026 15:17

I’ve got one left - the man with his head on the car bonnet. Any clues?

I’ve got one left - the man with his head on the car bonnet. Any clues?

Second part of the word is the specific type of car.

First part is a bit odd- it's pronounced differently in the place name compared to the clue but written the same. It is a word that can be used to describe position. Not over there but over...

MindaBelinda · 01/02/2026 15:48

So is the bagpipe man part of the same clue as the witches?
