Thought I’d be brave and start a pro-Trump thread for a change, after all, there are so many anti-Trump ones , we need some balance!
I even tried commenting on an anti-Trump thread today… and wow, just kept being told to go away, my comments were not well received. Honestly, I feel honoured to feel as if I have been officially deported, what an achievement!😂

TDS does not exist.

I thought that was Trump's diagnosis. He is deraranged.

I admire Trump! His single minded determination to show the world that he's an absolutely demented despot of a rancid human being who can't string a coherent sentence together as he continues in his quest to make the US the laughing stock of the world is awesome 🙌

And he really has bought great unity to many nations.

We all are united in thinking he's a complete prat and watching in astonishment that there were so many Americans prepared to vote for him.

Carpediemtoday · 29/01/2026 18:08

Why can't we have one thread where we can discuss things calmly without all these angry people just stamping their feet. Wow.

The Republican party is going to be around for quite a while. Democratic party is imploding, infighting. falling apart.

You and the other 99% of respondents to this thread prove that it most certainly does 😂😂😂

Who are you talking about?

So tell me some actual positives. Something that has impacted the majority of Americans? And you can’t mention Biden or Obama. Just something positive he has done

Trumps actions make people angry.
You don’t get to police peoples emotions.

What would you like to discuss calmly? You haven't actually said.

Same idiot who is starting loads of stupid threads.

Well unlike a lot of politicians he is actually achieving a lot of what he said he promised he would do during his campaign.

He has done more in his first year than Biden achieved in 4 years. Anybody remember what he achieved after 4 years?

You go first. It's your thread, after all.

Booming? During Covid? Post Covid?

In the first part of his first term, the economy grew along the same trajectory as it had during Obama’s term, I.e the policies Obama had put in place continued to grow the economy. Then Covid hit and the whole thing went to shit (as it did for pretty much every country) it continued going to shit. Biden came in, and the economy began to grow faster than most western nations. The US economy has shrunk since Trump took over. Largely due to his taxation and tariff policies.

Its fine to love him, and to be happy about him lying about fixing wars and picking on immigrants, but don’t pretend he ever sorted the economy.

US economy was absolutely thriving from Jan 2017-Jan 2020

I liked the foreign policy in the first term with the Abraham accords and in the second term I liked that he got the gaza deal done. That's about it.

@PinkYellowGrey I do think its a recent vocation, as recent as joining today, so have reported.

This. I’m wary of living in an echo chamber so always try to read and understand both sides, however no one can actually ever tell me something positive he has done (that serves the majority). All I ever hear is but but Biden! Obama stolen election

I think this will be his legacy - hastening change in world order.

Europe realising it can't rely on US in anyway - maybe UK politicians ditching the special relationship bullshit - everyone moving quicker to next world phase.

WaffleParty · 29/01/2026 18:17

You started this and you haven’t mentioned a single Trump achievement.

Does it? Most people, including myself, don’t like Liz Truss. Is there a derangement syndrome for that? For Putin? Presumably you didn’t like Biden. Do you have BDS?

PandoraSocks · 29/01/2026 18:18

I suppose the one positive about Trump is the whole world will have a party when he carks it. The bigliest party in the history of parties.

What has trump achieved exactly?

ClothesHorseProblems · 29/01/2026 18:19

Wooooo fascism! 🥳 Yeah that's a stance we can get behind! 🤯

Seriously go away. You can't have a debate with a bigot or an idiot and you can't support Trump without being one of those after the past 12 months.

Biden left the US economy in a better state than it is now and with less enemies.

LizzieSiddal · 29/01/2026 18:25

Even Daily Mail who usually love Trump is starting to tire of him. They had an article today “Is Trump showing signs of losing his marbles”

He lost them along time ago, the sooner he goes the better for the world.
