A pro Trump thread to balance the 154 anti Trump threads!

Carpediemtoday · 29/01/2026 17:46

Thought I’d be brave and start a pro-Trump thread for a change, after all, there are so many anti-Trump ones , we need some balance!
I even tried commenting on an anti-Trump thread today… and wow, just kept being told to go away, my comments were not well received. Honestly, I feel honoured to feel as if I have been officially deported, what an achievement!😂

They are asylum seekers and obviously just had their claim rejected. This is what happens to most asylum seekers—most really have no basis to stay.

What are you saying? You know for a fact that ICE turning up at immigration centres and detaining legal immigrants who are turning up for their appointments have all had their claims rejected?
Absolute total bullshit.
There is story after story out there to prove this is not true
I am embarrassed for you

And if you look into most of Trump's administration, those idiots would not be there without immigration.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner!

Exhibit A: The Senate Border Act of 2024. Initially drafted by a Republican. The strictest border laws in US history, brought to Congress by a bi-partisan team of Republicans and Democrats.

Trump’s reaction? To order all Republicans to vote it down. Why? Because if the strictest border law in US history is enacted during the Biden administration, Trump can’t bleat on about “open borders” during his 2024 election campaign. What do the Republicans do? They follow their Orange Jesus’ instructions.

Proof that Trump does. not. give. one, shiny. fuck. about. the. border. He only cares about himself and what he can get, at anyone else’s expense. I’d love to see the likes of RingoJuice twist herself in knots explaining how Trump actually wants tighter border control. The evidence is that he’s had over 5 years to build his wall, and he ordered voting down of the Senate Border Act of 2024. But you see…facts don’t matter to these folks in the cult, so there’s no point in presenting them with logical facts. They’re too far gone.

Looks like you never heard of the 1924 Immigration Act which basically halted immigration from everywhere but Northern Europe until 1965 …

logicisall · 30/01/2026 08:39

Honestly I personally align with Democrats better on some issues. But because I believe they will flood my country with fake asylum seekers again, I’ll not vote for them.

Thisis an example that proves the analysis that many people were willing to vote for Trump based on only ONE common ground. They might have believed in:

*Abortion and reproductive rights
*The Affordable Care Act, expanding access to health insurance, cheaper prescription drugs
*Reducing income inequality, progressive taxation
*That climate change is real and needs to be addressed urgently; having robust environmental regulations
*Protecting voter rights, racial justice and policing reform
*Affordable college and student loan relief
*Opposition to voter suppression

BUT ALL THAT IS IGNORED BECAUSE ... "FAKE ASYLUM SEEKERS" 😱
When you see this written down @RingoJuice do you realise how illogical and not even in your own self-interest, was voting for Trump?

Share them.

Most you see in this situation have just been given final removal orders. But it can also happen if the judge dismisses your case (sometimes for procedural issues) or you’ve been discovered to have entered before illegally before or have committed some sort of crime (even minor) in the meantime.

simpsonthecat · 30/01/2026 08:50

No I won't do your work for you

Attorneys have reported that ICE agents are detaining applicants—including those with no criminal records—at USCIS field offices during green card, marriage-based, and other lawful permanent residency interviews.

I know it would make it much more palatable for you if these people had a criminal record or removal orders, but that is not the case

These people are caught between a rock and a hard place. Turn up for a routine appointment and ICE could be there or miss the appointment leading to a possible removal order. They need an attorney with them to even attend a routine appointment

Manifestsleep · 30/01/2026 08:55

RingoJuice · 30/01/2026 08:14

Yeah, basically.

Immigration of the best of the best is ideal. But this isn’t what we have at all.

That's interesting.

So you are willing to sacrifice everything else for the sole purpose of immigration control?

It doesn't matter to you that democracy is being dismantled (Fulton County FBI raid as an example of where this is heading)?

It doesn't matter to you that Trump is abusing his power and using it to enrich his family?

It doesn't matter to you that the possibility of Trump in the Epstein files implicates him in an actual child sex trafficking ring (not a made up pizza parlour one)?

It doesn't matter to you that you will have no voice anymore for risk of being shot in the face?

The precident that is being set here is so wild and so big and has the capacity to destroy the democracy of previous beacon of the Western world but all of that is fine with you because they're deporting people you don't like?

It's honestly baffling to me that you can justify this in your own head whilst claiming some alignment with democrats.

The cases I’ve seen almost always have some sort of issue. Prior arrest, DUI, missed paperwork, etc.

Lawyers don’t always tell you this straight up, but if you look into a case, you’ll often see what this issue is.

RingoJuice · 30/01/2026 09:11

It’s kind of a ‘fix a lot of shit’ button. Rents are going down in LA. Want to know why? Deportations have had an effect on the market.

It doesn't matter to you that Trump is abusing his power and using it to enrich his family?

It doesn’t bother me because they all do it. Biden, Trump, Clinton. Maybe Obama didn’t.

But Democrats are definitely the same on the point

It doesn't matter to you that the possibility of Trump in the Epstein files implicates him in an actual child sex trafficking ring (not a made up pizza parlour one)

I kind of doubt it. You think Biden would have just sat on that? Seems like wishful thinking on your part.

It doesn't matter to you that you will have no voice anymore for risk of being shot in the face

Who is being shot in the face? Did I drive a car at a federal agent? Am I strapping up and then getting into fights with federal agents?

This isn’t protesting. It’s making an unsafe environment for both federal agents and protestors. Finally it seems MPD are doing some crowd control—if Alex had been jailed the first time he attacked a federal agent, he’d still be alive. This is the cost of letting the mob run wild (I had said the exact same about Ashley Babbitt btw)

The precident that is being set here is so wild and so big and has the capacity to destroy the democracy of previous beacon of the Western world

You don’t really believe that, do you? Hope you weren’t saying this kind of shit in the Bush years

but all of that is fine with you because they're deporting people you don't like

Correction: deporting people who are illegally in the United States.

No, because it was unacceptable. You had to negotiate with Democrats to shut down the border?

The bill would have allowed thousands to stream over the border for several days before a shutdown, and even the authority to shut down the border was ‘optional’. It was totally ridiculous.

Trump showed you could just do it.

Wow.

You will literally justify anything because it suits what you feel.

I think this is the difference between Trump supporters and regular folk. I'm not a conservative, i don't align with republican values but I can empathise with their perspective and I enjoy a debate. If my leader (for want of a better expression) behaved in the way Trump does and threw away the values that I'd held the way he does, then I could no longer continue that support. It clearly doesn't matter to you.

On your points:

LA rents may be coming down but that is a combination of factors, although, yes immigration is certainly one. However, incomes are also down as well as other costs increasing. You can't have it all and have to accept that there are consequences in both respects.

There has never been open corruption in American politics on the level there is now. Jimmy Carter was forced to give up his peanut farm but it's okay for Trump to do family business on the premise of state business. Corruption in the past should not make corruption in the present okay. It's all wrong and we all should stand up for it.

If Trump is entirely innocent then why have the files not been released? That was an election promise. It hasn't happened. Based on the way he talks and his previous conduct, I would suggest it is highly plausible that there are many unfavorable assertions in regards to Trump.

Your next one is the one that bothers me the most. You can't have the current gun laws and then use it against your own citizens when it suits. If Alex Pretti was an actual threat then he could have been arrested and charged after the first incident. He wasn't. He was, at the point he was shot 10 times, an unarmed man and significantly outnumbered i.e. no threat. If you think that is okay then you're in for a scary time. Reverse this and if this was Biren era you would be outraged, and rightly so. On the Renee Good murder, you will clearly refuse any valid information that is presented to you.

Is it not ironic though that Trump is calling for protest in Iran yet it's not permitted in the US. The scale of brutality is higher there. For now.

I absolutely believe that democracy is on a precipice right now. It was held together following the 2020 election because of a handful of republicans who stepped up and did the right thing. Now we have a structural dismantling - politicization of the FBI, interference with state election procedures, targeting of only democratic run states when republican states have a far bigger problem with illegal immigrants. If you can't see that now then you never will.

Having lived in Denmark the Dane’s are hot on this - teams constantly going round checking people’s validity to be there, especially in under the radar businesses, but it’s done in a way that doesn’t petrify everyone else, no masks, plain clothes, not much different to teams inspecting hotels etc, and placed in decent quality holding places till deportation - do right to rent checks too, landlords fined stupid money if they don’t comply - if Trump wasn’t busy lining his and his families pockets maybe he could throw money at it and get it under control in a humane way - it cannot have escaped attention it’s all being focussed mainly on in Democrat states that don’t vote for him - Texas has 10 times the issue

I find it interesting that all of the “winning,” “prices will come down,” and “you’re going to be so rich” promises haven’t come to fruition.

Rather, the solution is to deliberately make others’ lives more difficult and/or unbearable. It’s as if making life more difficult for others makes your own life seem better. Rather than pulling people up, as promised on the campaign trail, the solution is to drag other people down so your own life seems okay, even though you didn’t get what was promised.
