A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙🩵

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Haven't heard that description for a long time. 😁

A lot of powerful people have odd proclivity. The CEO of Barclays allegedly I read earlier liked Snow White so Epstein asked one of the girls to go out and buy the outfit.

Jesus…

WTF is wrong with some blokes.

One thing I am hoping with this G&D by election is that it might put the Greens under more scrutiny. Sadly, I think they pick up votes from people who don't look into anything very carefully.

so if they are looked at more before the general election, it would be a good thing.

if they actually get voted in, I will be really sad!

I hope so too, but sadly I can't see it happening. People will blindly vote to keep Reform out without enough thought for who they are voting for.
The real story in G&D is that this is supposed to be a very safe Labour seat - not anymore.

I don't know @TheNuthatch

It seems if Labour were a housekeeper, they'd hold on to their rotting veg, wilting into veg juice and disintegrating into mouldy dust which just sits there seeding its contamination until all the rest of the food is spoilt and you have to throw the whole fucking fridge out.

Yes whoever wins if Labour don’t it’ll be bad for them. Maybe they’ll come third.

This got buried yesterday by all the Epstein news.

Ministers have been ridiculed for paying hospitals £3million a month to delete patients from waiting lists - making it look like the NHS is treating more people than it is.

NHS paying hospitals £3m a month to delete patients from waiting lists

Hundreds of thousands of people are being deleted from lists without receiving the treatment they were waiting for in a process known as 'list cleansing' or 'validation'.

Yep, there’s a thing in the Times about this too.

I couldn't even get on a waiting list. All they did was delete the deceased and those who'd become too ill, or just gone private.

I can believe it.
We all know how bad things are, lying about the numbers won't help.

Yep it’s like their hotels claim when they just use barracks or houses instead. It’s all gaslighting nonsense.

Upstartled · 03/02/2026 10:06

£3 million each month to find out if patients have dropped dead or gone private? £36 million annually.

7.4 million people on waiting lists.

Just how much money are they spending per patient to make themselves look like they are doing better than they are?

Emily Thornberry on Sky this morning,

She says that the revelations reflect poorly on Lord Mandelson's appointment, but says: "I've yet to hear any convincing evidence that he did anything other than a thoroughly good job when he was ambassador, and that's important."

Thats alright then, as long as he did a good job hey. They just don't get it do they!

Do one Labour. Sucking up to Mandelson isn’t going to help.

Such gaslighting craven pricks I have no idea why people still bat for them daily. Why?

Money probably.

DameProfessorIDareSay · 03/02/2026 10:12

Another popular local bar/restaurant closed its doors yesterday. I don’t know whether the hospitality industry (and many others) will survive the rest of this term of government.

Also Farage being very economical with the truth attacking Charlotte Cadden yesterday and I was glad to see Kemi robustly defending her. I don’t see CC having much of a chance in the by election but she is the kind of MP I would like to see in Parliament so hope she gets another crack in another constituency in the GE.

Why is CC scaring you Nigel? I would have perhaps tactically voted Reform in a GE if it was a candidate I could get behind and it was obvious the Conservatives had no chance, but I don’t think I can do that now. Even my Reform member husband is disgusted with him.

Nigel Farage MP (@Nigel_Farage) on X

Kemi Badenoch said there would be a “new generation” of Tory candidates who would reflect core conservative values. It’s not going well.
