Braverman said the Conservative Party had "left the building" and that Tories no longer represented the values she believed in when she joined the party.
“If the party you joined no longer reflects the values and principles that it once did, you should question your allegiance. If the party keeps breaking its promises, you should question your loyalty," she told reporters.
“And now too many promises lie in tatters. Too much damage has been done, and I no longer trust the Conservative Party.”
This along with the rest of her speech got me thinking.
She definitely said the quiet part out loud, because a party reflects the views and attitudes of those within it.
Johnson purged the party leaving the likes of Braverman to set the values. She was part of the change she doesn't like, but that is going to go with her (and the rest that jumped). She was part of the group that set the tone and direction for the party. Any party she joins and is given a voice in will go in the same direction.
To claim otherwise is disingenuous, so she has started her reform career by lying to the public. Start as you mean to go on I suppose.
