I think I was on those threads under another name. The one where two of them kept posting circular misinformation? It was quite nice to see they don’t appear to have made it across to this one.

I know it’s heartbreaking whoever it was, nobody deserves what ICE is doing, but somehow this is just even more heartbreaking.

I wish it would be the tipping point, but murdering a woman wasn’t, taking a five year-old boy wasn’t, and all the atrocities in between.

The irony is, the same people who have been bleating about their right to bear arms, are going to use the fact he had a legally concealed weapon, I believe, as the excuse for him being murdered.

Also, the same people that were getting upset about mask mandates. So many ironies. Not that it helps.

The last few days have marked new lows. 😔 I feel I’ve missed something. Why is Minnesota being so relentlessly targeted? Is it because Tim Walz is a Democratic governor and KH’s former running mate, so a blue state? I can’t think of Minnesota hitting the headlines much before this all started.

ICE seem less and less like an arm of the state and more like private mercenaries by the day. DS was telling me about the huge bonuses they were paid at Christmas - he’s picking stuff up on social media. It’s making for some sobering conversations over dinner.

I’m fairly sure you’re spot on about Tim Walz being a target by Trump. Trump is a malignant piece of shit, jealous of anyone who might be compared favourably to him.

Hi, thanks for the invite, I’m over from the other thread (OP). I’ve just been in tears all night. I also think Trump chooses MN because Ilhan Omar is there; she’s been a personal target of his for years. Recent reports have also said his goons track her son and pull him over for no reason. He’s truly a petty, malicious POS.

I think I read on the BBC site about an hour ago that they had found his weapon and removed it from him, so he had nothing to shoot at them with. But they killed him anyway. (I think someone upthread said there is footage of them deliberately discharging his firearm and then taking it into custody without bagging it, doubtless so they can add his fingerprints to it afterwards, to “prove” he had fired it himself.)

I appreciate having found this thread, I’m British in the US and in a constant state of disbelief and horror.

There is very clear footage of one of the ICE goons taking the victim's legal weapon from his waist holster and walking away with it just before they executed him.
MAGA are still scrabbling to try and justify it. Why was he interfering? He may have had a second gun for all they knew?
