Surely now the USA is approaching some sort of tipping point.
I am appalled & horrified but not surprised at the way things have escalated.

Who was it who asked a while back how thw second amendment would go ?

And from what is being reported on MSNow, he DID have a permit.

Minnesota is a permit to carry state, DHS are saying the guy wanted to "massacre" ICE. It's all daft to me. Like Rittenhouse strutting about with his AR to "defend property".

That's just you though. Seems the US as a country is OK with it. Congress hasn't intervened. SCOTUS have not prohibited ICE from operating.

And innocent people die everyday. And who is truly innocent, except our saviour Trump ?

Where I observed how Congress was an irrelevance and the constitutions best attribute was it was strong and absorbent.

I think they're going to have to find a way to interpret the 2nd to allow firearms ONLY if you take some sort of loyalty oath. 'They' want MAGA/GOP loyalists to be armed, just not those pesky Democrats and left-leaning Independents. And despite what one may think, there is quite a bit of gun ownership in the Left. They just don't bleat about it.

It'll be interesting since individuals states and, in some places, counties set their own laws regarding possession of firearms (not violating federal law).

So I think the 2nd will remain, it'll just be interpreted differently. And not in a good way.

He's just as dead whether they violated his rights under the 2nd amendment or not, though.

Without wanting to be too graphic, I listened to a podcast (The Rest is Classified) which talked about the 7/7 bombings in London and the subsequent killing of Jean-Charles de Menezes who was shot in the head 6 times.

They talked about the training the armed response teams go through and that they’re taught if you suspect that someone is wearing a suicide vest/carrying an explosive device you need to eliminate any chance of them triggering a device - even a dying person can potentially move their finger.

Obviously not saying by any stretch of the imagination that this is what happened, but don’t be surprised if they try and claim something like that is an excuse for excessive force.

The video needs to be seen by everyone. No close ups, so not really graphic as in showing injuries, imo.

I’m relieved they’ve been able to get the woman in pink’s footage, I was worried that she had been detained.

There are slowed down videos on Insta that look like they show an agent removing the victim’s gun from presumably a back holster / waistband, before he was then shot. It seems he hadn’t gone for his gun, and didn’t even have it on his person, at the time he was shot. Of course he’d also been hit in the face multiple times by then, pinned face down by multiple agents and sprayed with what looks like pepper spray.

such an awful and unnecessary incident.

I think this incident will be the tipping point. Multiple videos now available showing no weapon had been brandished and the victim had been filming.

We have thought that something must surely be the tipping point so many, many times before; I no longer have faith in such a thing ever being reached.

Maybe just a slow erosion of rights, yes she/he was shot dead but Reason Reason Reason so you can't now do x y or z or you may be shot. Stay home.
