My daughter has a new year birthday. We have very generous friends and family. I am now the owner of about eleventy-million gift bags that are too nice to put in the recycling.

I can’t be bothered to cook dinner but we’re snowed in so can’t even order a takeaway

I adore a bubbly bath in winter, but can't find the energy to stand up after to wash my hair in the shower, but not washing it = frizz and grease.

The only solution is to dunk in the bath without thinking and then I have to wash it. I can't fully wash it in the bath though (doesn't seem right) so still have to stand up.

First world problems, I know 😄

Instead of starting my nice new jigsaw I've got caught in doom-scrolling on Mumsnet.

HELP ME.

DD1 loves nursery but DD2 would 100% prefer to be with me more and going to things together like playgroups etc. She is fine at nursery but doesn’t thrive off it the same way DD1 did/does and it’s really weighing on me. I do feel like it’s 1st world though because it’s a brill nursery that we are fortunate to be able to afford, just wish I could afford to drop my hours.

I have to pack for a 6 month holiday

We are having a new house built on land we have bought. I have to share a walk in wardrobe with DH. This would be ok except I'm a perfumista and DH is allergic to perfume.

It's freezing here but we're running low on oil so can't have the heating on all day. But that's not my gripe. We have two lovely woodburners but when DH goes out in the cold to split logs for them the whole house shakes.

In other news, my diamond-soled shoes are too tight.

I want some puff pastry to make veggie sausage rolls but my local supermarkets don't sell "all butter" puff pastry. Waitrose, which does sell "all butter" is a 20 min drive and I can't be arsed. I think I'd rather go without than have "mystery fat" puff pastry.

Going to Maldives but cause of my APS blood clotting disorder I must pay £700 for week travel insurance 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I miss baileys

I made a big pan of chicken soup , my fridges full so I put it in two big yoghurt pots ( the 1kg ones with a proper lid ) and put them outside to cool .
I knew it was going to be -5 overnight so I left them outside., I went to bring them in in the morning at 5am to find teeth marks in the plastic .
My nighbours cat had chewed them !

My sneezing snotty streaming cold is so bad that my home-done lash extensions keep coming off making me look more like a blonde lashed pig than ever. Traumatic.

Oh and I want a bath but cba to run one

I’m clearing out my kitchen post-Christmas.
Normally, I’d just eat any sweets, biscuits as I go…
But, I have a bad cold & can’t taste anything!

If you are having your own house built, surely this is the perfect chance to fix this problem?

I have a cold and asked DH to pick up more tissues. He bought the plain kind without the lotion to soften them 🤧

I’ve been looking on EasyJet’s website all day and I can’t decide if I would prefer to go to Greece, Turkey or Egypt.

Last year I whinged a lot when DH didnt get my preferred scent of persil...but he got a really huge pack so it seemed extravagant to go and get more. The next week, DS got food poisoning and I did about 3 million loads of washing and I was quite grateful for the huge bottle of sub-standard smelling persil! 🤣

My feet are cold and I have no (I threw mine out because of the holes) heated slippers

After shaming myself for my laziness I went to Waitrose for puff pastry. I'm £35 worse off but I do have all butter puff pastry, among other things. I cannot be trusted to stick to a shopping list!
