They want their oil, plain & simple. Trump doesn't give rat's arse about drugs, he has no problems with other leaders (he pardoned the guy from Honduras, a convicted drug trafficker). Furthermore, declaring war on another, sovereign country is supposed to go through Congress - this didn't.

I agree. The president the Venezuelans voted for in 2024 should now be allowed to return to his country and take up his post. I hope that is what happens.
