How far are you from your nearest airport?

And is it important to you to be close to one?

I’m asking because I moved recently and a friend said that it’s a big advantage as I’m now under half an hour from the nearest airport and said that would factor into her next move. I rarely fly(Because I hate flying) but she is right that it would be useful. So I’m curious if proximity to an airport is a factor that many others consider when moving home? No judgement and I can see what a difference it would make if you travel regularly(For work or leisure).

I live about 10 miles (20 mins drive) from Manchester airport which is one of the main ones in the NW. I used to consider myself very lucky in the days when I travelled by air as I dont drive. Have not flown now for about 7 years and dont intend to do so again.

1.25-1.5 hours to Manchester (less at night), Leeds Bradford, East Mids or Humberside.
We used Doncaster a bit when it was open. I’m looking forward to thar again.

DH doesn’t really like flying though. We tend to drive to Europe via Hull Docks.
