Maggie the dog has a Christmas bandana on, and I've just wrapped up a(nother) soft toy.

I couldn't leave her out, big softie that I am.

Does your pet get gifts?

Getting guinea-pigs to wear hats is an art !
We had a little knitted hat for one of our boys and some Santa hats which were bottle cap decorations ) , for the girls . ( Boy was fuzzy so the knitted one sat better )
Trying to get them lined up/ heads still/ keep the hats on ....not easy ( I have photos somewhere !) Xmas Grin

Ooh - photo please!!!

My girl cat has some extra special treats lurking which she will love. I haven't wrapped them this year for easier access. MIL has also sent her some goodies, lucky girl!

Sprogonthetyne · 24/12/2025 17:42

He should, but it's lost somewhere in the delivery system, along with the kids stocking fillers. I panic rebought the kids stuff, but Dcat will just have to wait. Fortunately he's not good on dates, so hopefully won't notice. He will be getting several boxes to sit in once DC have removed the pesky contents.

My cat has a present from me, cat has also got presents for my mums two dogs, the dogs will buy my cat a present.
(the dogs don’t come round on Christmas Day or any other day as the cat scares them)

Gosh yes. She has a new reindeer toy wrapped and waiting. My siblings and my nieces, the dog walker and two of my friends, have wrapped various gifts and they are on a high shelf near the tree.

I also have two wrapped squeaky sprouts. We are visiting my friend and her dog at the weekend, so I have my dog and hers, a wrapped gift each.

My girl loves ripping the gifts open 😁

robinsnest1967 · 24/12/2025 17:46

My 2 cats have two new catnip toys each and a bag of Felix treats each. All wrapped up.

TheAphrodite · 24/12/2025 17:47

yes shes got a new toy wrapped under the tree which she'll likely not play with and she'll be chowing down on some turkey while we eat our christmas dinner 🥰🤭

MaarvaCarassi · 24/12/2025 17:47

Can we please have some photos of the happy recipients tomorrow 😄

Snorydog · 24/12/2025 17:48

yes all pets and family pets get presents in our house!

FromageTime · 24/12/2025 17:50

Yes! We have 2 dogs and they both have quite the pile of presents from us and the wider family. They also have new leads and collars from the most boujee of pet stores.

BerthaFlapjack · 24/12/2025 17:51

No pets here but I have bought gifts for the grandpets. One pet opened their present early and I was sent a photo. No doubt more photos will appear tomorrow.

Our family pets exchange presents too. My cat’s getting a new tunnel from me, she’s given crocheted blankets, a catnip mouse & a squeaky Santa to other cats & dogs & has presents to open from them.

Although I’m away now until the 27th so she’ll have to wait until then.

lazyarse123 · 24/12/2025 17:58

When son had a dog my dd always bought her treats and at least 2 new toys. It's fun watching her rip the parcels open. The only thing is they used to come for christmas dinner and she liked toys but only to tear them apart and i have a lot of stuffed reindeer so they would have to hide behind the sofa while we ate in the kitchen and left her in the lounge.
Will miss her she had to be pts earlier this year.

TakingTheTime · 24/12/2025 18:00

My cat has a bed for Christmas (ignored it) and some catnip toys (ignored those too|). He's only interested in food. Those things will be going to the RSPCA shelter.

Iamthemoom · 24/12/2025 18:00

Cardboard boxes with cat scratch mats inside them and American catnip toys because that’s what every self respecting feline really wants! Oh and turkey Scrumbles!

EcoCustard · 24/12/2025 18:01

My dogs & cat always got a stuffed stocking, we now have one dog & 2 cats who all have a stuffed stocking. Ddog has lots of toys, his toy basket is looking very sparse at the moment though so we’ve got lots to refill it, & a few antler, yak chews & a new harness. Cats have a new scratching post & radiator beds. I don’t care if people think it’s lame, I adore my dog, & my cats are amazing too.

chargarl · 24/12/2025 18:03

Mine get a stocking each with some treats and a couple of toys each.

SirChenjins · 24/12/2025 18:05

Yes - ChenDog has a new Christmas jumper and he's getting a squeaky flattie toy because he chewed the legs off his other one. He'll be more interested in the various meats tomorrow though.

DaydreamerBetty · 24/12/2025 18:05

My 2 kitties have had their presents early. They still have lot of dreamies and sticks to enjoy. I know my MIL has bought them gifts too. I’ve also bought for the grand fur babies gifts too which have been wrapped.
Their main gift is a bit delayed as it’s coming all the way from china 🫢 I ordered it weeks ago 😩

Is your pet getting a Christmas present?
BlueandWhitePorcelain · 24/12/2025 18:05

DCats get the turkey giblets.

They don’t like Christmas at all - the cards all over the window ledges, hindering their view of the birds; and piles of Christmas presents on the floor…. They don’t like mess at all and just look at it in horror. Even worse, the miniature humans come round…..cue lots of running around in a weird way, and excited high pitched voices.

How could the day be any worse?

Windowcleaning · 24/12/2025 18:09

Gosh, yes. We have five stockings hanging up. Only two children. Me and sh don't do stockings.

Littletinytarzanswingingfromanosehair · 24/12/2025 18:12

Yes!
And I'm so excited to give them to him! And yes I will post pics! Looking forward to seeing everyone else's pics! Xx

ImWearingPantaloons · 24/12/2025 18:14

Yes, and some turkey for lunch

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 24/12/2025 18:19

Yes - some new catnip mice. I’ve hidden the package in my sock drawer, because I had an inkling he might sniff it out if it was under the tree so I must remember it in the morning. He has gifts for us too.

Idontknowhatnametochoose · 24/12/2025 18:20

Ddog and Dcat both have a stocking each plus a small pile of gifts from myself and other family members.

ItsStillWork · 24/12/2025 18:23

My dog gets about 4 presents (wrapped), and advent calendar and Christmas dinner
