A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

This is the only thread I will go on now. The others are full of twats who drive the sane ones away. I don't need that in my life.
Anyway, bathroom is clean, downstairs is vacuumed and I have vacuumed and dusted my bedroom. Ready for the Christmas tree next weekend.

redange · 30/11/2025 14:46

The very sad thing is can you imagine if 20 years ago we were able to view this thread in a 'Christmas Future' way. We would think our posts are completely 'barmy' and that we need Psychiatric Help !

ProfessorDrPrunesqualer · 30/11/2025 14:47

Dh popped out to buy some alcohol for Christmas so I looked up the budget inc

It seems yet again the budget will have an affect on our smaller businesses.
Labour just have no ability to forward think and protect workers and aspiration

Woo hoo 🙌
I have done front room + snug including skirting boards, picture rails, lights and behind my beautiful but highly impractical designed radiators.
Currently procrastinating about doing the hall light, shelves, picture rail + skirting......

Legolava · 30/11/2025 14:48

I am on another thread trying to explain how chucking more welfare money at the situation won’t help. I see real deprivation, every day. When people can’t answer that, they get really personal still don’t they? Then when they get called out on that you’re posting from abroad. The left on here are hilarious. We should have a bingo sheet.

I really should be doing that, instead I’m googling tax on alcohol 😆

Went to Christmas market and DDs music master was there conducting the local community choir. Much embarrassment ensued as he recognised her and got her to join 😂😂
She was bright red bless her but was a good sport about it and got a round of applause from the spectators

Well done. It sounds like you've done a more thorough clean than me. I did pull out the sofas and dust the skirting board but didn't do pictures or book shelves. I get bored after an hour and need to do something else, but it does look better I think.

The spaniel seems to shed hair everywhere. I filled the Hoover at least 5 times just doing those rooms 🫣 I swear her hair was on the picture rails!

Miss 'Fruit' sounds like she is trying to get elected for the Lower Sixth member of the School Council.

Well done on the cleaning all. You have put me to shame, CBA this weekend.

Soon you will have the absurdity of a child at Private school with parental income of £75 k according to how they give out benefits, will be poorer than a family of three children that has never worked.
Absolute insanity, especially as they think everyone at Private School is 'stinking rich'.

They'll be able to afford private education now.

Go back five years and members were shredded on here who doubted the wisdom of the lockdowns on the economy.

The left shagged Ukraine and other flags with pride.

The left have a love in shagging the Palestinian flag.

YES the fridge! Also the bath (we have an outside shower for her so there is zero reason why there would be dog hairs in the bath).

There are some people on Mumsnet who are simultaneously very self righteous but also incredibly naive. Frankly, I'm pretty exhausted of people hating others who have done well for themselves. In real life I only know one person who has such a huge chip on their shoulder - they believe they were denied the opportunity to be a pilot or a doctor (no idea on how they were specifically denied these 2 very different career options...). We don't see them much anymore as it's become quite tedious.

Ikr! Our dogs are not even allowed upstairs, yet there are dog hairs in the bathrooms. 🤯 I've found them in the chest freezer too.

Twistydog is a stunner 😍
