How many biscuits do you eat a day, on average?

I'm trying to be healthy(ish) so stick to 2 these days, but I've been known to clear a pack a day of the really addictive ones, like Maryland cookies, or Oreos. I don't know what they put in those things but it's very hard to stop once I start on them! Anyway, I'm intrigued to know what the national average is, roughly!

It would have been rude not to!🤣

ImWearingPantaloons · 24/11/2025 19:16

Two. With a cup of tea.

I count them out then put the biscuits back on the cupboard

PurpleSkies2026 · 24/11/2025 19:16

I don't really buy them so none. Have recently bought ginger nuts and I'd usually stick to two, but I have so little will power that I'm just thinking of not getting them. Its not great for blood sugar levels to have a stand alone sugary snack. I seem to be super sensitive to sugar.

SatsumaDog · 24/11/2025 19:20

None. I have no self control when it comes to biscuits.

Chinsupmeloves · 24/11/2025 19:20

I'll have a choc bar instead

PeonyPatch · 24/11/2025 19:21

Zero (if I don’t keep them in the house). If there are, I’d cap at 2.

Iloveleaveinconditioner · 24/11/2025 19:27

Can’t have them in the house anymore as I just snaffle a whole pack within 30 mins. Chocolate hobnobs are my nemesis. I used to have 4 a day (😳) dunked in my tea.

Stopped about 8 months ago and now have none. I tend to go to our local farm shop / garden centre cafe on a Saturday or Sunday and get a really nice cake with my tea. Usually a brownie or Rocky road, they’re so calorific and lush.

Anyway, that’s my ‘treat’ for the week now!

DinoLil · 24/11/2025 19:30

None here, either.

PurplePantsofPower · 24/11/2025 19:31

Zero. Which I'm aware is probably a really annoying answer. I often have one of these of an evening though https://www.deliciouslyella.com/products/salted-almond-cup

LapinR0se · 24/11/2025 19:51

Zero. I am low carb and annoyingly feel great on it.

theriseandfallofFranklinSaint · 24/11/2025 20:06

Sorry, boring answer... none.

Chocolate? Stays in the cupboard for ages, just not interested.

But biscuits? Bloody love them so don't buy them anymore.

However @SnugglyJumpersMakeItBetter bloody Oreos??? They are awful biscuits 🤢

ProfessorScorchedTerf · 24/11/2025 20:10

None . I don't like them enough to justify the calories .

countingdowntotheholidays · 24/11/2025 20:15

No sweet biscuits but cheese and crackers are my downfall!

HalfwaytotheEnd · 24/11/2025 20:19

My DH(skinny as)eats at least 4 with every cup of tea throughout the day so not really possible not to have them in the house!
I (not skinny)tend to limit it to 2 in the evening as"pudding" after dinner with a cup of tea. If they weren't being eaten by DH then I'd happily not buy them or even think about eating them, so it's rubbish really.

Wildflowers78 · 24/11/2025 20:19

None! Don’t ever really buy them to be honest - I suppose I’m lucky that I’m not a huge biscuit fan. A pack of digestives, Oreos etc can easily sit in our cupboards untouched for months. Only ones I like are M&S Jaffa cakes, I try not to buy them though as self control seems to go out the window..!

FurForksSake · 24/11/2025 20:20

In honour of the thread and the fact I said zero, I’ve consumed four custard creams and feel I have contributed to the biscuit bell curve.

Wickedlittledancer · 24/11/2025 20:21

None, I’m on mounjaro but even before that biscuits were not my thing, and I seldom ate them.

MsSeuss · 24/11/2025 20:22

1 every night with a cup of tea. Admittedly they are the foxes half dipped cookies so pretty substantial

turkeyboots · 24/11/2025 20:24

I'm in the don't buy them as I'll eat them all in one day club. I buy a box at Christmas and they'll be gone in 48 hours.
Edit to add that three biscuits is the minimum acceptable single serving in my house.

user1476613140 · 24/11/2025 20:24

Only a crumb of a Digestive once every two weeks. That's it.

Qualityroses · 24/11/2025 20:26

None. They go soft in my house before they get eaten.

Greenwriter76 · 24/11/2025 20:26

I very rarely eat biscuits now - I used to, & I buy cheapies for DH and DD who love them & eat them all. However I love Fox’s chunky or chocolate ones and shortbread and I’ve just bought a posh box ‘for Xmas’ (I don’t think it will remain unopened for long tho).
I love chocolate & crisps tho & truth be told probably eat these most days.

Talkingtomyhouseplants · 24/11/2025 20:44

Zero - I only eat biscuits if I happen to be at a meeting and someone offers me a biscuit. Day to day zero biscuits.

Plenty of other crap so it’s not me being sanctimonious - I just don’t really buy them

Sourisblanche · 24/11/2025 20:57

Usually none. But I’m baking some tomorrow so will have two.

SmalltownCEO · 24/11/2025 20:58

None. Always seemed a pointless waste of calories . A bit dry and boring.
I don’t drink tea though. The two seemed linked.
