How many biscuits do you eat a day, on average?

I'm trying to be healthy(ish) so stick to 2 these days, but I've been known to clear a pack a day of the really addictive ones, like Maryland cookies, or Oreos. I don't know what they put in those things but it's very hard to stop once I start on them! Anyway, I'm intrigued to know what the national average is, roughly!

None. I don't allow biscuits or cakes in the house, so I'm not tempted to eat them.

Fgfgfg · 24/11/2025 17:57

Biscuits are generally safe in this house. I can go months without eating them and then maybe eat a couple of bourbons. Crisps however are not safe at all.

I'm deeply ashamed of my absolute love of Haribo, my grandson calls them Nannys Sweets!

I love this! I’ve even been converted to Aldi’s jelly cherries and Lidl’s gummy bears. Everyone at work knows I have a drawer of these available if they ever need a sugar hit.

I don't eat any because if there are any in the house I will eat them all.

Ditto! 😆

Colinfromaccounts · 24/11/2025 17:59

I haven't had a biscuit in months. Are they something people keep in the house?

The last time was probably one of those bags of Sainsburys fresh cookies. And then I ate them all immediately lol.

ChessorBuckaroo · 24/11/2025 18:00

None in a while. But when I do get (McVities) dark chocolate digestives or chocolate hobnobs, it's almost half a packet with tea (or coffee).

StruggleFlourish · 24/11/2025 18:02

I eat zero a day.
About 15 years ago I was having a problem with my thyroid, I was gaining weight, and it was possible that I was becoming pre-diabetic, I cut off all sugars. In my tea in my coffee, any sweets, even most fruit, I know people will say fruit is healthy but I just learned like vegetables better.
It was hard at first to cut back, but I did it for a reason, I've lost weight and I am healthier than I ever was before and my blood sugar levels are great.
I don't miss sweets and now I find them to be distasteful.

AllTheChatsAboutTea · 24/11/2025 18:03

None as I don’t buy them. I have a protein bar in my packed lunch instead. I occasionally steal a pack of 3 biscuits from the client meeting rooms at work if I’m desperately in need!

LarryIsMyRomanEmpire · 24/11/2025 18:03

Please don't ask me how much cheese I eat in a day...

BunfightBetty · 24/11/2025 18:05

Three is a portion, surely? Or two if they're big ones, like those Waitrose/M&S cookies. Anything less and you might as well not bother. More and you're going to feel a bit greedy (and also a bit sick).

RaininSummer · 24/11/2025 18:05

None most days but I occasionally crack at work.

Yesimmoaningaboutbenefits · 24/11/2025 18:06

I recently had to clear the biscuit barrel and pretty sure the ones in there had been in there for over a year (bourbon/nice/digestive types).

If I buy a nice pack of foxes Viennese or Oreos or something we'll share a pack between the 5 of us which probably works out 2 or 3 each.

Crisps, croissant and ramen barely survive 24 hrs after the Tesco delivery. Bread sticks and Ritz sometimes don't even make it to the cupboard.

EmeraldDreams73 · 24/11/2025 18:08

None normally, as whenever we have them they're eaten in 2 seconds flat so rarely buy them. I'm more than capable of eating a whole packet.

HandsomeJack · 24/11/2025 18:09

3; I have them for breakfast with my coffee at 5am before the children wake up. I know it's not healthy but I don't care.

Bulbsbulbsbulbs · 24/11/2025 18:11

Usually one. Or if Chia Seed and Toasted Coconut then 2 or 3 as they are fairly healthy!!!

Abracadabrador · 24/11/2025 18:13

None, I don't think I've eaten one this whole year.
Crisps, on the other hand- can't have them in the house, I can consume multi packs.

teaandtoastwouldbenice · 24/11/2025 18:15

Zero or the whole packet

Tosserneighbour · 24/11/2025 18:21

Zero. I tend to stay away from UPF as a rule. Monday to Friday I am very strict with what I eat. Weekends I tend to relax a bit, but would choose crisps or chocolate over biscuits. Though I may accept a biscuit if offered one at someone's house.

TMMC1 · 24/11/2025 18:25

Occasionally a savoury one with some cheese. Otherwise none

SwirlyShirly · 24/11/2025 18:25

On average 0 because I don’t buy biscuits very often. If I do buy biscuits I eat the damn packet.

ABeerInTheSunshineMakesMeHappy · 24/11/2025 18:29

Rarely eat them now due to my terrible teeth. I was a proper biscuit addict some years back (probably explains the poor teeth lol). I tend to eat little brioche buns or similar now instead. If someone gives me a biscuit (or two), I have to dunk and I really don’t like soggy dunked biscuits - nor biscuit crumbs in my tea!

AxolotlEars · 24/11/2025 18:32

None because I can eat a packet

PumpkinsAndCoconuts · 24/11/2025 18:35

Idontknowhatnametochoose · 24/11/2025 16:09

None, more into chocolate

Same. I have a dark chocolate / sea salt bar in the kitchen drawer that just keeps calling me this evening… I also love Italian-style hot chocolate. 😍

mumzof4x · 24/11/2025 18:42

None don’t really like them so I guess it doesn’t count. Now if you asked about cheese !!

Whataninterestinglookingpotato · 24/11/2025 19:10

Between 0 and 1 very very occasionally 2 but most commonly 0.
