How many biscuits do you eat a day, on average?

I'm trying to be healthy(ish) so stick to 2 these days, but I've been known to clear a pack a day of the really addictive ones, like Maryland cookies, or Oreos. I don't know what they put in those things but it's very hard to stop once I start on them! Anyway, I'm intrigued to know what the national average is, roughly!

2/3 with my cup of tea in the evening. I’m quite good at sticking to that too.

fussychica · 24/11/2025 16:47

None to one. 2 if it's rich tea. Rather have nuts but unfortunately they are still fattening.

Cebello · 24/11/2025 16:47

None!

TheTortiePuffinNeedsHerBreakfast · 24/11/2025 16:48

I love biscuits, but can no longer get away with eating many. I try to only have them at weekends.

Zero - but I’m not that into biscuits.

Agree
Biscuits are a waste
of calories
About 3 equal a scone

GentleSheep · 24/11/2025 16:48

None. I'm a chocoholic so prefer some of that instead!

jay55 · 24/11/2025 16:49

I buy the little snack packs of gingerbread and Maryland cookies and have those a couple of times a week. I’m on the jabs though, and prior to those a packet was a nice snack.

I don't eat any because if there are any in the house I will eat them all.

Same here.

Marylou2 · 24/11/2025 16:50

Have been dieting this year so 1 chocolate rice cake usually. No one in the history of the world has ever wanted 2 of those. 79 calories and Asda's are as good as M&S and a third of price. Give those a go.

merryhouse · 24/11/2025 16:51

Mostly none. The odd box may push the annual average up to about a half - like several other posters, I tend to continue eating once I start, so it's only birthday and Christmas

Exactly this.
So I buy crisps instead. And eat all those. 😶🙃

tinyspiny · 24/11/2025 16:53

I love biscuits and crisps but I don’t eat either now as I’m living low carb . My husband however happily eats half a packet a day of whatever biscuit we’ve got in the house .

Huntrix · 24/11/2025 16:54

I eat none because I'm super healthy. 😇

Not really. I don't eat biscuits but I am a chocolate fiend. Usually have a bit after lunch and dinner.

FurForksSake · 24/11/2025 16:54

Zero.

Jugendstiel · 24/11/2025 16:55

On average, none. I don't much like biscuits. But today, five: three chocolate, two mini lebkuchen.

sammyspoon · 24/11/2025 16:55

Lemonysnickety · 24/11/2025 16:09

Biscuits don’t do it for me. I could have a packet in the house and not bother with them, chocolate and crisps are my vices.

Same. I don’t really think about biscuits and rarely buy them. Chocolate is a different story….

DarkEyedSailor · 24/11/2025 16:57

I bloody love biscuits and I could eat hundreds. I only buy digestives (mostly for the child) because I'll only have one of them with a cup of tea, not every day.

Once a year I buy a big box of broken biscuits and have at it, as it were.

gingercat02 · 24/11/2025 17:02

0 most days, but I might have an occasional piece of banana bread if I have made one.

MNLurker1345 · 24/11/2025 17:03

None! I stopped eating biscuits many years ago. I have a lovely packet of short bread biscuits in the cupboard but I am not in anyway tempted to eat them. The DGC will devour them at the weekend. I don’t snack at all but as a PP has said if something is needed before the next meal I will have a small piece of cheese.

AFavourPlease · 24/11/2025 17:04

None, never been a huge biscuit lover. Haribo type sweets on the other hand…

wishingforfreeweekends · 24/11/2025 17:04

None but I’m not a fan of biscuits

DramaAlpaca · 24/11/2025 17:05

None, but that's because I don't have a much sweet tooth and am not keen on biscuits. I wouldn't eat one even if they were right in front of me. My MIL used to think I was weird, because she couldn't envisage having a cup of tea without having a biscuit with it.

Crisps, on the other hand... or crackers with cheese and glass of wine... those I just can't resist.

PatThePenguin · 24/11/2025 17:07

None.

I can take them or leave them.

Crisps on the other hand...

IndigoIsMyFavouriteColour · 24/11/2025 17:07

4 a day, the kids get a pack as a snack and that’s my allotted amount of them. Some days it’s 3 and some days it’s 5 but never any more

2old4thispoo · 24/11/2025 17:09

I rarely eat biscuits but when I do I eat the whole packet.
