Confirmed by police about half an hour ago that the 35 year old arrested has been released without charge.

Does everyone who is arrested due to mistaken identity receive compensation for their family?

The guy is still alive by the way?

Goodness knows.

He wasn’t involved so there is no reason for him to be ‘hounded’ anymore than anyone else.

I rather imagine his trauma from being on the train like everyone else to be a lot higher than an arrest and subsequent release.

nomas · 03/11/2025 08:13

I suspect if your family member was tasered you’d be singing a different tune.

Tasered or killed? I think you’re very confused.

WeCouldBeNiceToEachOther · 03/11/2025 08:11

I mean I know this site has descended into absolutely chaos the last few days but I think when a man is wrongfully killed by the police his family deserve compensation!

Now if they’d killed him I agree that would be a very different scenario.

The innocent H’don suspect was tasered, not killed. Are you confused? Bless.

Sevenamcoffee · 03/11/2025 08:17

Nobody knows what happened with the other guy unless you were there. Police will have to look at it but it may or may not have been proportionate, we really don’t know because we don’t have all the facts.

We’re talking about the Jewish man who was shot and killed by police in Manchester.

do try to keep up, dear.

Exactly. People here don’t even want it to be investigated.

Yes the attribution is off.

But it’s not.

@nomas I will leave you to your delusion. You’re so caught up in being ‘right’ that you’ve lost track of reality.

You need to read the posts better. You had nothing really. No quotes.

Your posts had a clear theme to them, invoking Islamophobic tropes.

You seem confused on who was tasered, so it’s your delusion, not mine.

Radicalised into what ?

I recall he was obsessed with extreme violence. That's what was said in his trial.

Yes, his parents had escaped from the Rwanda genocide and he’d become obsessed with it.

However, he had been looking up Al-Qaeda sites, hence why he was suspected of being motivated by radical Islamism.

You’ve got nothing. And you can. It’s easy. I have copied quotes from threads.

You can copy and paste + note the time from closed threads

TirzelyBeloved · 03/11/2025 08:29

The second individual was an LNER employee travelling who tried to intervene. It looked like he was part of the attack to people. He was wearing an LNER jacket mind you.

You can’t. Feel free to apologise. It’s ok you can make mistakes, I can accept people do.

Edited

He also looked up Nazi ideology, including Hitler.

It has been explained to you umpteen times that you can cut and paste any racist posts from a full thread to this one.

The fact that you refuse to do so speaks volumes.

Not too busy to spend the morning insisting someone made racist comments, but too busy to go and copy and paste evidence of that. Very convincing.
