Big day for us in Wales. Yuliia is still doing her great work.

Keeping everything crossed up here in north Wales too.

itsgettingweird · 23/10/2025 15:45

Keeping everything crossed for my Welsh friends on here.

Also adding my voice to how great Yulia is.

Me too everything crossed.

BIossomtoes · 23/10/2025 16:51

Adding my crossed fingers to the group. I really hope Plaid wins.

Can't read the whole thing, but yes, very interesting. Turns the anti-vaxxers' narrative somewhat on its head!

Vote Reform and you will pay more for less.

But remember how many people didn't care about being poorer leaving the EU ?

placemats · 23/10/2025 18:44

Edit for a twice post. If you don't hear anything from your local Gzp practice then contact them.

They're all stockpiling now. Tins of Spam and corned beef. No one has mentioned turnips or swedes.

Yes! Very, very happy with that result. Wales does not want Reform. 🥳 🍾 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Cheguevarahamster · 24/10/2025 04:57

Great result. Well done Caerphilly. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Cheguevarahamster · 24/10/2025 04:59

Well obviously not a great result for Labour 🤦 but so pleased that Reform didn't get in.

PickAChew · 24/10/2025 07:27

Good news to wake up to. Alarming that the best ever turnout was still only just over 50%, though.

MsJinks · 24/10/2025 07:38

Well done Wales - @PandoraSocksand @cardibacha good day for you and all, and very heartening for the rest of the U.K. too 😃

Yes. Well done Plaid.

Mr Whittle sounds like a decent man - and persistent.

the new Plaid Cymru assembly member for Caerphilly sounds like a proper community-minded character:

"Still a councillor, he also has four voluntary jobs, working in two local schools, a community coffee shop and a foodbank...."

Congratulations Plaid

Yes, repeating the above- good news to wake up to!

BIossomtoes · 24/10/2025 08:10

Thank you Caerphilly, you’ve made this old bird very happy this morning.

PandoraSocks · 24/10/2025 08:28

I am so, so happy and relieved. Reform threw everything at that seat, but Caerphilly still said no.

PandoraSocks · 24/10/2025 08:32

The result shows how wrong polls can be. Even the bookies had it wrong. Reform was odds on favourite with a lot of them.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 24/10/2025 08:36

Delighted that Reform didn't get in - but the scale of the utter collapse of the Labour vote (while not surprising) is alarming.
