It is a great story, so worth posting twice.😊

Thank you. The final sentence is key to reading the leaflets and manifesto. Sorry @PandoraSocks that was missing in your screen shot.

Johnson is giving evidence at the Covid Inquiry today.

I heard some of that during my much time walk.

A load of waffling again

The Maccabi story has taken another interesting turn. Now little Tommy is getting some blame. I think he was posing in a Maccabi shirt the other day and that clearly didn't go down well. This is from the Jewish News:

“The risk posed by anti-Israel protesters was substantial, but we thought we had a plan to prevent them from prevailing. “But that changed with the intervention of Tommy Robinson.

“There was now also danger that our supporters could be falsely associated with his far-right activities, in front of anti-Israel protestors already out to get them.

“With Robinson’s supporters potentially posing as Maccabi fans on the streets of Birmingham, we concluded that the risk had become unacceptable for innocent fans who just want to watch their team play.”

As a result, Jewish News understands that no tickets will not be made available to Maccabi fans for the fixture on 6 November

Piggywaspushed · 21/10/2025 16:40

That's actually made my day. Tommy must be so confused.

PickAChew · 21/10/2025 17:14

More knots than a boy scout camp 😵‍💫

MsJinks · 21/10/2025 17:28

I expect Tommy et al thought all their Xmas’ were coming at once - all that footie plus race violence opportunities to spin as I’m just not an anti-Semite 🤔
He’s been a bit stupid on other stuff in Israel - bragging about his Christian pilgrimage in Jerusalem, which ‘could never happen under a caliphate’ when it’s Moslems who have the keys for the church he was at.
I expect his small and now coke addled brain is seriously struggling with all this.

The last sentence is indeed significant but unfortunately far too many voters don't bother to read the leaflets and would have no idea what is in the manifesto.

MaybeNotBob · 21/10/2025 19:42

...Particularly Reform voters...

Good work from the government here.
Victims and direct witnesses of crime who sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) will no longer be gagged from speaking out, following government

Amazing woman!

Thanks for thread DuncinToffee, I realise I am a late arrival, lots on at work recently so haven't had much time for MN.

Latest Senedd wide polling in Wales

Reform is on 30% (up 5 points since last Beaufort poll in June 🤯); Labour is on 23% (-4); Plaid Cymru 22% (+1); Conservative 11% (-2); Green 9% (+3); Liberal Democrat 4% (no change); and other parties 1% (-1).

In terms of seats that would give Reform 37 seats, Plaid Cymru 25 seats, Labour 24, the Conservatives 7, Green Party 2 and Liberal Democrats 1.

On the face of it this is a horrible result, but Reform wouldn't have enough seats to form an administration. So it would be a Labour/PC coalition with Reform pretty much unable to do anything even of it teams with the Tories. Thank God for PR.

I was looking to see if there are any more Caerphilly polls, but the latest one still seems to be the small Survation/Camlas poll.

Reform has seven-point lead in poll for Wales-wide Senedd election

It really is good news. I'm sure there will be a related influx to MN when word gets around.

You have to ask on what planet was it ever considered appropriate that NDAs could prevent criminal investigations ?

I forsee an explosion of cases where Jehovahs witnesses (for example) and anti-vax diehards are put under very close scrutiny. Followed by homeschool heroes.

Notonthestairs · 22/10/2025 10:11

Very good news. Long overdue - years!
We should be shouting this from the rooftops.

Strangely not featured in my regular newspaper. Happy to print umpteen articles about drivel but miss this. Must get round to cancelling it.

placemats · 22/10/2025 10:14

There's a thread on chat about it. Some excellent observations regarding the judiciary and patriarchal attitudes.

Totally off topic. Does anyone know if there is a way of PMing more than one person at the same time?
