I think it's more a case of keeping a low profile when there are awkward questions to answer.
They are also learning (slowly as you'd expect) that being in charge, and being in power are not the same thing whatsoever.
The leaked zoom call (I'm surprised with their disgust at WFH they didn't just declare it an obvious fake, as they all go to the office to work) gave some fascinating insights into the future. In particular:
