How often do you get takeaways?

Two parents, two late teens. I try to limit to one each school holiday for a treat. Silly to have told kids as now they expect one then, plus the occasions that we can’t be bothered to even heat batch cooked meal from freezer. I also end up getting them McDs drive thru more often than I like as a late supper on the way home from wherever. Last year 10 take always and 8 McDs. How does this compare?

Every Saturday is take out night. Kids order from wherever they want and we pay. Occasionally I'll order something during the week if it's just me for dinner. Kids all have jobs so I'm sure they get something from a drive thru a couple times a week.

3-4 times a year. Restaurants 6-8 times a year, apart from holidays when it’s twice a day.

Not now since a large haddock supper, steak pie supper cost 25quid.delivered.

Never. I can’t afford them, but would love to I’ve got to say!

Hardly ever. Maybe twice a year? I really like cooking and we also tend to have lots of stuff in the freezer that, if I can't be bothered/don't have time to cook from scratch, can be heated up in less than 20 minutes which is the time it would take me or dh to drive to a takeaway. We live in a market town with no Deliveroo etc.

ETA we eat out about once a fortnight. Usually at the weekend. We're going to a pub for Sunday lunch with friends today

Sometimes once a week! We all love sushi, but we like the variety of it and don’t want to stock different types of sushi-grade fish in the freezer, then defrost in time, etc. We have a few amazing sushi places near us that can make it so much better than I can, at a reasonable price, and quickly deliver.

Once a week usually on Fridays.

Maybe three- four times a year? Indian curry or sushi delivered by deliveroo.
