A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

@upseedaisee, we have a pinky beige called Hare, which is by Crown on our stairs / landings. Might be too dark though?

I can see it now - ‘call up the torygraph Andy and set the pigeons fluttering over something eye catching like a top rate of 50p’

Yep

Yep, something with a bit of pink or purple in it. I'll have a look at Hare. If it's a bit dark, it will give me an idea which palette to look at. Thanks!

Well ladies off to measure up my new old farties apartment today, I'm trying to find a nice warm beige colour for the lounge that doesn't remind me of baby poo. First world problems and all that! 😂

Ooh exciting.

For beige, I like Dulux Egyptian Cotton.
It's like the colour of Baileys so quite warm.

I like Egyptian Cotton but it tends towards the blue end of the spectrum, if you want it warmer then Natural Hessian from the same range is a good option.

I just googled that paint. Looks really lovely. I'm saving that one.
I've got loads of rooms painted in F&B Cornforth white. Its lovely but I'm getting bored of it now.

Is there any good news around? At the risk of being a bit needy, it all feels a bit circling the drain at the moment.

Maybe I just need to stay on this thread a bit more where at least you aren't cast as the villain for being realistic.

We had 0 small boat crossings for a few days. Does that count as good news? Best I can do atm.

My sentiments exactly @twistyizzy . There are 300 areas that will get this money, quite a number are coastal towns, which by the way tend to be Labour strongholds, so it will be interesting to see if they do include Conservative or Reform councils.Colour me cynical, but I doubt it.

Edited

Do we think Clacton , Skegness or even Great Yarmouth will be included?!

Yes, it'll do, even though I suspect that is the result of crappy weather, I'll take it, thanks.

A couple have turned their home in Fife into a hedgehog hospital in a bid to help the spiky mammals recuperate when they are found ill or injured.

Sharon and Andy Longhurst have built a maternity ward in their Burntisland garden, an intensive care unit in their garage and they manage a fleet of volunteers in hedgehog ambulances.

Sharon is holding up a hedgehog to the camera. She has shoulder-legth blonde hair and is wearing black rimmed glasses. She is smiling at the camera and wearing blue rubber gloves.

Thank you, I can't wait. Plus as it's all organised for us I can sit back and relax rather than being the one organising the itinerary as per.
