Looks like Ed Davey is on thin ice.

Apparently arsing around and playing the fool while missing the opportunity to capitalise on the chaos in Labour and the Conservatives is pissing off his MPs.

They're quite right, they're missing the opportunity to be be the trusted left leaning voice - the greens are already level pegging with them in some polls.

Been pondering the defection this morning (during a very boring budget meeting. Fun fact I'm well within my £2m budget so far and when I was praised for that said that I ask myself what would Reeves do? Then do the exact opposite 😆).
Anyway, I think this helps to legitimise Reform ie professionalise the party. They will be actively trying to poach more Tory MPs over the next 6 months.

Labour are just in a death spiral now it feels, have been from day one really. It's absurd the things they have prioritised. Feels like it has to be a major controversy to sink reform, though it's like they have the trump factor of the more mud thrown, the greater the siege mentality of us against them.

Farage has got to professionalise the outfit and he seems to be doing just that. Cant help but think soon enough it will just have unstoppable momentum behind it

Oooh I do love ed davey though - lib dems have been solid on social care, family care and vat on schools. He does actually stand for things, but I get that the platform in general hasn’t cut through.

Yes, things are looking awful for Starmer right now. And this is all before the Autumn budget, which will be worse again. There's not much anyone can do right now - I don't think. What a shit-show.
