A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Was the news of those ekection results reported in the MSM?

My issue with Starmer going is who replaces him? They’re not going to call an early election so we will be stuck with (another) replacement PM and it’s not good for the country.

He’ll probably stay, but be disliked by many.

Delurks.

The MSM don't tend to report on every council by-election, do they? Reform failed to win the three recent previous council by-elections in Wales. (Baglan, Grangetown and Llanrumney). I don't think those results were widely reported either.

This will be one to watch, though, as it is a by-election for the Senedd.

Relurks.

Nigel Farage and LlÅ·r Powell standing behind a red railing in front of Reform's office in Caerphilly. Both men are wearing blue suits.

'We'll throw everything at by-election' - Reform's Nigel Farage

Reform's leader expresses confidence in its chances of taking the Caerphilly Senedd seat from Labour.

If Labour had won back seats from Reform, or if the Greens had won seats, of course the BBC would have gleefully reported!

Just a reminder of Labour’s manifesto promise re:economy. Like all their tweets, it doesn't age well

‘We are the party of wealth creation’

What? Though to be fair it doesn’t say Who they create wealth For. Each other? Train drivers? Unions?

What a selfish repugnant little prick. I bet he’s so certain of his own righteousness.

He’s ruined the lives of the family of the man he killed, 2 little children under 3 I think.

He’s also ruined the lives of his own family. He confessed to his daddy. And for what?

I’m only surprised he didn’t top himself, these cowardly weaklings usually do. His life will be extremely difficult.

No sympathy for him but huge sympathy for the people whose lives he has ruined

EmpressoftheMundane · 12/09/2025 15:33

I feel for his parents. He confessed to his Dad. Who then had to turn him in. 😞

Devastating for a parent.

I sort of agree and actually a new leader may improve their fortunes so I'm sort of against them replacing him 🤣

Unless they replace him with BP. 😙

TheNuthatch · 12/09/2025 16:05

So many lives ruined.
I'm glad he's finally in custody, he's dangerous.
The engravings on the bullet casings are vile.

People celebrating the killing of Charlie Kirk are vile too. I give you an Oxford university student allowed entry with the grand old grades of ABB.

And sorry for another DM post (for those offended by news sources) - but they seem to be the only news outlet reporting comprehensively on this issue.

Oxford president who mocked Kirk got into Oxford without three As

Oxford student George Abaraonye, 20, who sparked uproar with his gloating reaction to the Charlie Kirk shooting, won his place with just ABB grades - before being voted the Union President.

Yes that's all over X and is equally as vile.

No need to apologise for DM here, they are still an investigative paper to some degree. We should all take our news from a wide source instead of refusing to acknowledge anything other than 1 single source of truth aka The Grauniad 🙄

Left wing friends of mine too. I’m surprised by their disturbing joy. I thought they were more intelligent than that.

Sorry to hear about your friend's being joyful. It's repulsive how anyone can feel like that. So much hate and venom from the left.

Ouch. How many will follow suit I wonder.
The rumblings must have started, Starmer is leading them to defeat and they know it. He's useless.

The Left are just sick.

Were they always so vile? Did we just not notice it because they were irrelevant until they wormed their way into control of enough institutions that they could cause real damage (and enjoy it)?
