I like the summer but lots of people say they prefer autumn and some say winter because of Christmas, my mum says spring because it’s full of anticipation.

Autumn

the 3 nice days we get each year that makes Scottish summer.

caringcarer · 08/09/2025 21:28

Summer.

Autumn

Mitherations · 08/09/2025 21:30

May. On the cusp of the light nights, warmth, everything is new and green and lush, the cow parsley is frothing, and it's all lying ahead. Autumn can get in the bin because what's lying ahead is six months of dark and damp and cold. I'm not a pumpkin spiced person 😂

Autumn

Spring and summer. June is glorious.

FamiliaF · 08/09/2025 21:32

Definitely spring for me. That first day you can leave the house without a coat feels like winning the lottery.

Trophy136 · 08/09/2025 21:32

I love winter. I love cosy nights, candles, hot water bottles ect. Halloween decorations and Christmas lights. I even like dark mornings and evenings but that could be because I absolutely hate hot weather!

NewmummyJ · 08/09/2025 21:33

Spring (and Summer) but I value all seasons, Winter makes me appreciate the Spring/Summer.

HighLadyofTheNightCourt · 08/09/2025 21:34

Autumn and winter ❄️

Sandrine1982 · 08/09/2025 21:34

April. Long Easter break, great time for travelling, and when you come back, then there's summer to look forward to !!

swingingbytheseat · 08/09/2025 21:35

May, June, July
I like 12 hours of dark and 12 of light, so also enjoy October. I find August a weird month

Midnightlove · 08/09/2025 21:35

Summer for sure.. I can deal with spring and autumn but winter makes me depressed

DeathMetalMum · 08/09/2025 21:36

Spring and Summer, I think June is also my favourite month, but possibly end of Feb beginning of March when spring bulbs start appearing. I do like autumn too but it always seems so busy, back to school, Halloween, Bonfire night, run up to Christmas and all the other things that go along with it. I also do not like the cold, though recently Autumn has been mild.

elliesmummy19 · 08/09/2025 21:36

Autumn and winter. I absolutely love Christmas. Love the dark, cosy evenings. I really dislike summer.

GreenAndWhiteStripes · 08/09/2025 21:38

Spring is my favourite, I like all the seasons though.

LunchtimeNaps · 08/09/2025 21:38

I don't think I like a season more than another but I love the change of season. It's like I'm fed up of the last and embrace the next.

Buxusmortus · 08/09/2025 21:39

May and early to mid June are the perfect months. It's spring, the evenings are getting long, it's warm without being stupidly hot, the garden is blooming with flowers, the wildflowers are abundant and the roadside verges and hedges look beautiful. The leaves are bright new green, not dark and worn like later in the summer. The birds are singing and nesting, everything is full of promise. It's a pleasure to be outside.

Autumn is horrible, it's usually raining so you can forget crisp leaves, it's soggy rotting leaves. The nights are drawing in and there's the depressing thought that in December it will be dark at 4pm. At least after 21st December the day length starts very slowly to lengthen so you can look forward to spring coming, plus see snowdrops and early daffodils coming through.

EasternStandard · 08/09/2025 21:39

I love the long summer days, but then Autumn and Spring are beautiful in parts too. And I don't mind winter. So all of them for different reasons really.

This.
Even though it's not dark that early, it's not cold and it's reasonably sunny ...mornings are cool, clouds are dark and it's getting darker quicker. Feels like counting down to the end.
Fingers crossed for an easy ride till Spring is back.

Timeforabitofpeace · 08/09/2025 21:40

may-October.

SkaterGrrrrl · 08/09/2025 21:41

SUMMER!

Moonlightfrog · 08/09/2025 21:41

Spring. Everything starts coming to life, the birds start singing, flowers start showing, blossom on the trees and the evening get longer.

I love autumn too, not so keen on winter.
