Oh my goodness @Mumtobabyhavoc I have to say I chuckled at your description, but seriously, I am so glad you were able to deal with it safely!
I hope you feel better today @Peridot1 💐
That omelette sounds delicious @FourSeasonsLobelia 😋
I went for greek yoghurt, blue berries and ground flax and gojiberries yesterday morning. Might do a brunch omelette today!
👋 @mumofoneAloneandwell I hope you and DD have fun doing your Christmas projects. And walking the cat, which sounds very cute. Didn't you get a sling for her, or am I misremembering? Or will she go on a lead?
I am feeling a lot more ok with early Christmas stuff this year for some reason. I think putting a 'brightening up dark days' spin on it has helped. My mother was thrilled with her table tree, but she's now a bit muddled and crosser than usual so they tested her urine and it showed up a uti, and now she's on antibiotics. Old age can be so cruel 😔
I realise now I was very out of sorts through accidentally eating wheat in the after dinner sweets at a restaurant last week. Luckily I realised before making any life decisions which would impact anyone else 🙈 It tends to hit me a couple of days later so it took me a while to make the connection. I only learnt for certain yesterday that wheat flour is in the ingredients list for this particular sweet.
Oh thinking of which @Mumtobabyhavoc I think afters is only used by the very posh. My boarding school brothers would sometimes say what's for afters, Mother? in a fake posh accent when they came home for the holidays. My ex mil always said dessert or sweet, for what I call pudding.
And while we're on English weirdness, I variously call our evening meal supper, dinner or 'our tea' depending on who I'm talking to. Grew up calling it supper though.
Another stream of consciousness for you all. Must be the weekend!
Have a lovely day everyone 😊
