A serious overall of UC and PIP etc really needs to be considered.
Starting perhaps with an increase on the 18 hours work requirement. I really don’t understand why a working week for each adult isn’t 30 hours as a minimum
That’s still not a full time job but equates to the free childcare provision as a throw away figure

Louise Haigh was the minister who falsely reported her phone to have been stolen. She resigned as Transport Secretary less than a year ago - she can’t possibly be DPM.

That would be my take on it. Her statement is all about keeping her in the consciousness of the Labour faithful, not a serious run at an elected position. She needs several more years in the wilderness before her conviction and resignation fade away sufficiently.

Not even Labour’s dullard foot soldiers are stupid enough to vote for her.

But let’s not forget that she was shafted by Labour insiders, not by press investigation. That is one very angry, vindictive backbencher.
