Centrist? Dorries? Or Johnson cone to that. He sacked all the one nation Tories.

Edited

Despite claiming to be one.

placemats · 04/09/2025 21:15

I don't care what books or reading material anyone reads. Doesn't bother me. What I care about is that everyone feels good and happy living in a country with a rich literary heritage.

Notonthestairs · 04/09/2025 21:18

Fascinating to watch the same Conservatives who directly contributed to the collapse of the Conservative party, now complaining the Conservative party is dead.

Concerned citizens, worried mums....

This is vile. Local guy speaks to Sky News about the impact of asylum seekers protests. Watch what happens and share widely

I'm curious to know what the usual suspects on this thread make of the fine upstanding men screaming 'pedo' on that video.
It certainly confirms that the flag wavers are simply proud to be English. Let's face it, after seeing that video nobody could possibly believe the baseless accusations that they are just a bunch of moronic racist thugs looking for any excuse for a brawl...

The Guardian is reporting - please can someone rebuff, thanks.

Firm used by Angela Rayner to buy stamp duty row flat says it did not offer tax advice

Head of family-run conveyancer says calculation was ‘strictly based on the facts and information provided to us’

Piggywaspushed · 04/09/2025 21:41

How can we rebuff? How would we know??

Last time I checked this thread was not called The Angela Rayner Appreciation Society. ARAS for short.

Notonthestairs · 04/09/2025 21:45

why would anyone claim to know what is in the ethics report?

Efacsen · 04/09/2025 21:48

Also from the Guardian

''Rayner’s allies say she did not initially realise the tax implications of her son’s trust, even though she is understood to have consulted two experts on trust law before completing the purchase''.

Who is claiming they know, please?

Piggywaspushed · 04/09/2025 21:50

How could we rebuff if we didn't know?

I'm so very confused.

No point commenting on anything until the report is released.

Notonthestairs · 04/09/2025 21:52

Goodness, we are in demand.

Kindly reread the post, thanks.

I have and am still confused.

You asked if anyone could rebuff the information in The Guardian. This was our challenge. I repeat how would we know anything at all??

We aren't her defence team, Angela herself , or her press office.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding the word rebuff.

I have not seen this reported elsewhere.

Has anyone seen this reported via other channels?
(I haven’t)

Notonthestairs · 04/09/2025 22:06

Must say I’m appalled to share a thread with those that don’t enjoy Austen.
I will be compelled to flounce if anyone starts wanging on about Wuthering Heights.

placemats · 04/09/2025 22:07

Loving honeymoon island 💞

Regarding Angela Rayner it seems that some media outlets are totally obsessed. Gawds sake calm yourselves.

Don't worry. I hate that too.

Chris Mason is especially priapic on the issue.

priapic

🤣🤣🤣

Evenstar · 04/09/2025 22:10

@placemats it was quite revolting, how dare he compare this to Boris Johnson’s disgusting behaviour

It was the Guardian's 'scoop'

From the Land registry they found out who were the conveyancing solicitors and contacted them and they responded as per your first post

Not sure what can be rebuffed

placemats · 04/09/2025 22:15

I don't even want to think about Johnson's priapic behaviour. Spaffing was enough for me 🤮
