Pull up a chair for some friendly chit chat about politics and beyond BrewCakeBiscuit

Taxes optional but greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Perdy Cat is a bit under the weather with the sneezles so is having a nap (by way of a change…).

Lovely new thread, thanks Duncin. One of my happy places for tax.

I have to say that if Sammy Wilson approves of something, I'm inclined to oppose.

Tax attached; Lasagne thinks it's too cold and needs a fluffy bed.

I agree with Lasagne. Autumn can do one already. Wind and showers here.

PandoraSocks · 01/09/2025 12:47

@serendipityjane you are making me laugh on the IMF thread.

Sammy Wilson does seem to come from the nasty wing of the DUP I agree. Though I expected him to be the kind of DUP member who only ever says yes when making his wedding vows.

31° here and I'm not looking forward to the weather at home. I do miss Tolkien and little Tennyson though. I think little Tennyson will be cross when he sees me.

Me too with Lasagne, which is a great idea for dinner tonight.

Always think anything wee Sammy says is a load of divisive nonsense.

itsgettingweird · 01/09/2025 12:56

I just got home and wondered what I’d missed with “good bye”

Then I realised thread was full and now I’ve found you all again!

ECG all fine. BP is low but not too worried so I’ve increased dose of meds again and hopefully this level with work (can double it again if needed but not such a good idea with my Bp bordering 🫣🤷‍♀️).

itsgettingweird · 01/09/2025 12:57

Saw this the other day and saved it for new thread tax 😂

Keep that weather for when we get there next Tuesday!

BIWI · 01/09/2025 12:58

Goodness - new thread already!

Fortunately I do have new cat tax to pay. My SIL sent me flowers for my birthday, which conveniently came in a cat box.

DS has that desk in black!

He is a gamer but also works in software development and it’s big enough for the multiple screens he needs!

itsgettingweird · 01/09/2025 13:05

Thanks. ECG is just monitoring as I’m on a drug called verapamil for the cluster headaches. Now that’s clear I’m up to full dose and 1 more check in 2 weeks, 2 months and every 6 months after that!

It's another one of those new poster posting telegraph articles to discuss

Do the get paid per click?
