Rhys James has a very funny series called, 'Rhysearch' on BBC sounds, episode 3 of series 2, "Can you be Proud of your Country" is very apt!

For more eclectic readers, Vir Das latest special is well worth a watch (even if just to see the same show stitched together over 3 continents and the Union Chapel looking stunning).

I like the bit where he points out the noise dictators fear - not the lone voice of the performer, but the responding waves of laughter from the many.

I never get these recommendations on Netflix, just because one time I watched something about Bigfoot!

Netflix's algorithms are bizarre, iPlayer is similar.

Oh yes, iPlayer and then it launches itself into said recommendation without your consent! The number of times I have woken up on the sofa to the Kaiser Chiefs, "I Predict A Riot" as it keeps playing the very first episode of Waterloo Street, something I have never watched. Then again as I have seen the opening scenes of the first episode (over and over) it is quite the reminder of 00s schools being considered terrible then as well! Teachers smoking reminds me of my own school days in the 90s.

I have never been a Rylan fan but his comments this morning are completely beyond the pale, I think I will have to mute at least two more people on Facebook as they agreed with him 🤢

@PickAChew I think the Transport Police said the victim had declined to give a statement, presumably because he was afraid what might happen if he did. I am sure it won’t be long before Ten Names gets arrested for something else 🙄
