Pull up a chair for some friendly chit chat about politics and beyond

Taxes optional but greatly appreciated.

No blame at all, I think most of us would be reluctant to draw the attention of the army of thugs that follow that low life

I would add that no one should presume his reason for not reporting it to the police.

placemats · 28/08/2025 15:53

I certainly don't blame him, the victim, for doing that.

Me neither. Bullied into silence by thug rule.

placemats · 28/08/2025 16:03

We don't know that @PickAChew

Piggywaspushed · 28/08/2025 16:09

Rylan needs to watch the company he keeps.

BestIsWest · 28/08/2025 16:19

I’ve read (but don’t know if true) that Rob Rinder commented ‘Proud of you’ which is also very disappointing if true because I really loved their Grand Tour series.

itsgettingweird · 28/08/2025 16:30

Piggywaspushed · 28/08/2025 15:35

Rylan said that? Wow, I am surprised.

So was I. I didn’t expect him to be one spouting false narrative.

Evenstar · 28/08/2025 16:32

🤯 I didn’t think Jon Sopel and Emily Maitlis would try and blame the Government for this

Now, Rinder I am not surprised by.

Evenstar · 28/08/2025 16:38

I think the “Proud of you” comment may have related to something else, but I think although Rinder has said he isn’t a member of any party, he supported Matt Hancock’s leadership bid 😬 so anti immigration views wouldn’t surprise me.

Rob Rinder 'proud' of 'best friend' Rylan Clark amid 'marriage' admission

Rob Rinder was full of praise for Rylan Clark as he spoke about his upcoming television commitments

Having seen his amazing legal acumen at work swallowing any old tosh as long as a camera is pointed at him, I find myself thinking that if he thinks something is good, then it probably isn't.

placemats · 28/08/2025 16:39

It's all bait and clicks, plus keeping up the revenue.

The Tories failed miserably in trying to contain illegal entry but are now successfully merging it with asylum seekers into this country.

The two should never be conflated.

Rinder was born in London on 31 May 1978[3] into a Jewish family;[4][5] his mother is Angela Cohen, chair of the 45 Aid Society.[6] His maternal grandfather, Morris Malenicky, was a Holocaust survivor and one of the "Windermere children".[7]

Rinder certainly comes from an interesting background. Love The Windermere Children by the way. Very moving. It also has one of my favourite lines when a Scotsman is coaching football ' And I'm not shouting. This is how we all talk In Scotland.'

But that doesn't automatically make him a nice person.

Piggywaspushed · 28/08/2025 16:43

I just had wistful thoughts about Matt Hancock.

I almost think he's a better Tory.

Do I need therapy?

There is zero reason why someone whose life in the UK that would not be possible had the UK not provided refuge for their ancestors has to automatically take a side in modern life.

However you have to ask quite what they think they are supporting ?

Piggywaspushed · 28/08/2025 16:47

Yeah.

I'm saying nothing more on RR as it may bring visitors.

Piggywaspushed · 28/08/2025 16:50

DH just had a phone call from the 'Immigration Department'. Seems he is in trouble . Ermm. He was definitely born in Norwich. Grin

Is there a picture pending?

I'm cured even in anticipation.

Evenstar · 28/08/2025 16:56

I am afraid so, apologies to everyone

PandoraSocks · 28/08/2025 17:02

I see no picture. Have you upset the approval system, evenstar?

Evenstar · 28/08/2025 17:03

Must have done, but no message appearing to say so

DuncinToffee · 28/08/2025 17:03

If it was hancock, it might have to do with the last part of his name not getting through filters Grin
