Mine was Richard Hammond. I walked in the living room at my nans when I was about 5 and he was on the screen with a seashell necklace on. I audibly said “wow” and my brother to this day makes fun of me for it relentlessly. My husband genuinely despises Richard Hammond which is pretty funny, he sees him as competition.

Also I used to really really like the Scottish engines from Thomas the Tank Donald and Douglas I think.

Probably Donny Osmond when I was about 9 in 1972. Then it was David Soul (of Starsky and Hutch) a few years later when I was 12/13.

SAME!! Still love him! 😂😂

I went to see NKOTB in 2014 (after previously seeing them in 1991 and 2009). Jordan reminded me of Steve MacDonald from Corrie the last time though 😂😂😂. As mentioned above, I was a Joey Joe fan though!

cjcghana · 04/10/2025 18:37

David Soul from Starsky and Hutch

BridgetRandomfuck · 04/10/2025 18:39

Honestly, mine was Marlon Brando! When I was at primary school in the 80s our teacher showed us the film of Mutiny on the Bounty as we were studying it, and I was transfixed! I remember wanting to hug him really tight, I must have been about 8 or 9. So innocent. One I got to my teenage years it was Keanu Reeves and Hugh Grant, but Marlon will always have a special place in my heart….

Toooldtopretend · 04/10/2025 18:40

I forgot to mention Corey Haim too. So sad when you found out the full story

Letmeoutodhere · 04/10/2025 18:40

Oliver Tobias. He was in a thing about the Anglo Saxons back in the mists of time. I was absolutely swooning.

Terry Duckworth

LorrieTosh · 04/10/2025 18:45

Billy Idol
Adam Ant
The fox from Disney’s Robin Hood

A few years later, to my eternal shame…Brian Harvey from East 17. Really puts the embarrassing ‘fancying animated wildlife’ thing into perspective.

PropertyD · 04/10/2025 18:52

Stand back ladies. David Cassidy was mine. Had a poster the size of the bedroom wall of him. Was very sad when he died a few years ago a shadow of his former self.

PropertyD · 04/10/2025 18:53

And David Soul singing Silver Lady. Takes me right back.
