I'm still enjoying the image in my head of Trump thinking he's got Zelenskyy cornered and the coalition of the willing marching in like a band of brothers!

Watch carefully when he's walking on the red carpet - I mean, they might be really thick, thermal socks to protect his delicate little toes...but they looked swollen to me.

There’s a speeded up version of Trump walking the red carpet by himself and he can’t walk in a straight line - thought to be significant of failing capacity of some kind.

It reads to me as though there is actually some sort of ‘deal’ on the table. I don’t believe for one moment every leader in Europe plus the NATO Sec Gen would travel all the way to Washington otherwise.

Agree @Igotjellythere must be something worth discussing, or the thing being proposed really isn’t in Ukraines interest and Zelenskyy needs back up to make sure he’s not bullied into something.

On reflection of it all I tend to think Trump/Putin agreed what they want (aka Trump fell into Putin’s line with a tiny little sop the other way to make him feel important) but Trump knew he couldn’t announce this on the meeting day, as it looks like a failure on his part. I think in fact Putin told Trump what he expected a bit ago and Trump is playing it out with the summit (probably part of what Vlad wanted anyway) to try make it look like they’ve been ‘discussing’.
On a side note, I understand most of the minerals are in the area Putin wants - so where would that leave the Donald’s deal with Ukraine re minerals? Or is this what Vlad and lapdog are actually discussing? Caveat I’m only going on what I’ve read - neither my geography nor geology is up to knowing about the minerals personally- so I could be wrong.
Definitely odd all Europe leaders are going and Trump seems ok with it.

What I described in my post, which I think you might be referring to, was ex\actly what happened as I watched that original meeting at the White House. That actually happened. It is not a prediction. I don't know if it is possible to access a recording of that meeting, but I can assure you that is what happened.

When I watched that, I was horrified that a guest in a house could be so vindictively attacked by the host. It would be the same in any situation. Trump has had similar lapses of memory without it being so serious matter. but the way Trump and Vance turned on President Zelenskyy was shocking.

I am glad to note that British PM Starmer will be accompanying the President to Washington tomorrow.

Trump and Putin? Trump and Europe?

There are no profits in confiscated property at the moment. Whether any value can be had in the future is questionable, but it is quite possible that Trump may well take the value of that property/assets to pay for the weapons Biden sent to Ukraine.

There is no doubt that from his first day, Trump has demanded repayment of everything the Biden government sent out of America, not only Ukraine.

Trump is demanding payment for everything at the moment, and President Zelenskyy might have committed the minerals as payment, but that would have to be confirmed by the Ukrainian government, which is actually very active and running the country despite the war.
