so he’s done a vow renewal after only getting wed in 2022 and none of his siblings or parents were there, just seems to have been organised by his billionaire wife’s parents. It looks like a very deliberate fuck you to his family. What can they have done to deserve such shocking treatment? It’s bizarre. And let’s hope the marriage to the (reportedly prickly, hard work) billionaire works, so he doesn’t have to come crawling back to Mum and Dad………

He's a massively entitled areshole, raised by 2 narasistic entitled aresholes. How was he ever going to turn out well?

There has been a bit of drip drip drip by the media, eg;
At wedding 1, Nicola did not want to wear a dress by VB at wedding,
VB was called the most beautiful woman there;
First dance was Brooklyn and VB.
Nicolas father has expressed surprise that D & VB have not bought Brooklyn a house, as they have done for Nicola.
All this is allegedly, and seems very small fry to me, so assume there must be something else.
But it seems families can be complicated.

Very odd attention seeking. They probably both have enough money to live a lifestyle where they don't need to work, but they don't seem to have any purpose.

For those saying D and V are caring parents, what a load of bollocks ! If they were, they would’ve have protected their children’s privacy and not pushed them into the limelight from birth as they have done !!

Quite a lot of “friends of Brooklyn” sources have been saying that Brooklyn feels he’s never had a great relationship with David and that he’s always been used as a media prop by him, which I can actually believe given how fame hungry brand Beckham have been. Feel sorry for Brooklyn that he’s gone from that to a fame hungry wife, no wonder he’s never been able to have a career etc. I think the Beckhams haven’t seemed like great parents over the years and even in this situation seem to be mostly worried about the bad PR of not having a kid around so not a surprise to me that they would want to distance themselves, but I don’t really trust Nicola either.

Yes this was what sprang to mind for me. I think the first wedding was a bit of a shit show, with tension between the families. Victoria Beckham reportedly hijacked their first dance leaving the bride running off in tears. I just wondered whether they wanted to do it again without all that stress

He appears to hate his povvo parents. LOL.

The thing about the Beckhams is each child is expected to be famous and have a glamorous career even though none of them show talent, or drive and that just sets them up for failure.

Brooklyn was basically told he was going to be a photographer, then when that spectacularly nosedived, told he was going to be a famous chef, setting him up for continual, well-desrved mockery.

Cruz ditto informed he was going to be a rock star, though he didn't even learn an instrument at his expensive school.

Harper's now at Italia Conti being groomed to be a second Spice Girl, which clearly ain't going to happen.

Romeo is the bst of the lot as at least he played for Brentford B team, which in normal circs would be a great achievement but not when you're DB's son and he has now left "to pursue a career in fashion."

Their parents clearly provided them with no pathway towards finding a normal job, which they could have made on their own merits and in the process earned some self respect. It has to be a job with a very, very tiny chance of success and where even the nepos who succeed usually have the looks, work ethic and intelligence, which the Beckham clan clearly all lack.

I agree that on the whole anyone needing to renew vows is generally patching up a failing marriage… Also agree he is a complete demonstration of how kids of the wealthy end up drifting (too many people say yes, rather than being honest). I would assume there is an iron clad prenup in place - it’ll be rather embarrassing when if all goes to sh!t because I guess he’ll need to crawl back to Mum & Dad…

I suspect Brooklyn would feel very at home on the 'But they took us to stately homes' threads. He's grown up in the shadow of very famous parents who are all about putting on a front for the public when it's a different story behind closed doors, and that can be very toxic for a child. Let's not forget he was five years old when his dad had the alleged affair with Rebecca Loos – there must've been huge tension in the family home and so much scrutiny in the aftermath that it's bound to have affected him. He's since spoken about suffering from acute anxiety and how only his wife knows how to calm him down. So maybe he got sick of the fake 'smile for the cameras' schtick his parents have had him perpetuate for so many years and is happy to distance himself. As those on the stately homes threads can attest, it's often only when you meet a partner and they react with alarm to your family's dynamic that you realise how bad it is.

I don't know these people. All I know is that Brooklyn Beckham is David Beckam's child...

But I wish them a happy marriage. :)

If they wanted a private affair I guess they wouldn’t have shared the photos. It looks like a massive point to prove to his parents. He has married very young, I’m not sure they have much income of their own. I wonder how long this marriage will really last. He seems infatuated with her. He could live to regret some of his recent decisions.

Rich kids who will live on their inheritance. brooklyn has no discernible talent (I may be wrong) and prob not one that is going to eclipse his father or mothers career. he doesnt really have a purpose. lucky that he can spend his youth enjoying the trappings of someone else's success

It must be so difficult for them. Seriously, take Brooklyn, his father was one of the best footballers in history. His mother was in THE girl band. They were probably amongst the most recognisable faces in the world for a decade or so.

How do you compete?

You grew up rich and never worked for anything. You have no discernable talent. You have no qualifications. And by virtue of who your parents are, you're basically unemployable. From when those kids were born they had the option to not arrange pap shots or insist their faces were pixilated by the press, if Brooklyn had a genuine interest in cooking they could have encouraged and funded him attending any top culinary school in the world (they're friends with Gordon Ramsay FFS), they could've encouraged their children to work hard and achieve something. Instead they did none of this, sold their souls to OK magazine and let Brooklyn turn into a sandwich making figure of public derision.

It is quite sad for the Beckhams. Hard to know what the dynamic is, every estrangement is different but no one wants this with their children
