what’s going on with Brooklyn Beckham?

jallyj · 12/08/2025 10:37

so he’s done a vow renewal after only getting wed in 2022 and none of his siblings or parents were there, just seems to have been organised by his billionaire wife’s parents. It looks like a very deliberate fuck you to his family. What can they have done to deserve such shocking treatment? It’s bizarre. And let’s hope the marriage to the (reportedly prickly, hard work) billionaire works, so he doesn’t have to come crawling back to Mum and Dad………

Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham shared pictures from their vow renewal on Instagram on Monday, which took place at her family's estate in Westchester County on August 2.

Posters seems surprised that parents who chose the spotlight for themselves put their children in the spotlight.

Whatisityoucantface · 12/08/2025 11:54

It’s a massive middle finger up at the Beckhams, that’s for sure. And a chance to keep themselves relevant.
I really dislike the press narrative that Nicola is controlling Brooklyn and that Victoria has been a difficult mother in law. It’s misogynistic. Brooklyn I’m sure understands the implications of his actions. That said, there is likely some truth in it.
I feel for Brooklyn, he has been so overexposed since a child and with a lot of expectation to live up to based on his parents success. I just hope he can cope with this vitriol, and has good support from his wife and her family, because otherwise there won’t be a happy ending to this for him

BrownieBlondie01 · 12/08/2025 11:54

I feel really sad for Victoria and David in all this, they were clearly such a close family and the fact that they remain close with all their other children says something. I really hope Brooklyn finds his way back, it's so sad to think that little baby sat on his dad's shoulders on the football pitch could be so distant from him now.

MyLifeIsaRollercoaster · 12/08/2025 11:54

And everyone saying bb doesn't work, well doing this kinda thing, and selling the pics to magazine or putting them on insta
is a type of work in this day and age

granted bit work that’s good for the soul but in a way this is his job…

and this is what he’s grown up with from before he was even born
no wonder it’s messed him up it woudl with most
they could been shielded from the public eye
but they wanted to make their family a brand and it’s kinda selling your soul to the devil when you go down that path

and now you have two families that are used to calling the shots and there’s a lot of egos clashing and people wanting control and then the press are loving it
probably loads of their celeb besties are loving all the gossip… just showing what a fake bullshit world it is

AbitmoreBert · 12/08/2025 11:54

I think it’s the way they brought them up. They don’t seem to have been raised with the expectation of getting qualifications and normal jobs. I’m not sure the kids education was particularly prioritised. Maybe they thought sending them to expensive schools was enough.

Look at Gordon Ramsey & Jamie Oliver’s children for example. On the whole their kids seem to have normal jobs and both involved some of their children in their fame.

Belladog1 · 12/08/2025 11:55

3SignalBars · 12/08/2025 11:52

Eh? I see it as they felt their first wedding was a circus and they wanted something just for them. Who cares what they do they are adults and owe their parents nothing.

But it wasn't just for them. If they kept the photos in a lovely album I would agree - but they released them to the press.

Fraudornot · 12/08/2025 11:55

I don’t think they are great parents - he has had numerous affairs. She has an eating disorder which must impact the whole family. The children have presumably had the best of education yet have not gone on to further study etc. They all seem a bit pointless to be honest and I would think I had failed as a parent if my children grew up with no drive or direction.

JudgeJ · 12/08/2025 11:56

DoctorMartin · 12/08/2025 10:48

My theory is that they feel their original wedding was marred by whatever has gone on between the families and they wanted to make new memories. Remember there was all the media speculation about Nicola’s wedding dress designer and the families were thought to have fallen out even at that stage. It seems they are erasing the Beckhams from their lives completely.

Not sure if 'they' are erasing the Beckhams or 'she' is erasing the Beckhams but he needs to realise that if/when she gets fed up of him it's the Beckhams that will still be there. I can perceive of a situation where there has been a big blow up with his parents but to also cut off his siblings is unfair. Her family seem very very controlling, is her father qualified to renew their vows?

AugustSlippedAwayIntoAMomentInTime · 12/08/2025 11:56

I just see two utterly spoiled, poorly educated, talentless yet attention-seeking young people who think growing up wealthy makes them important.

They didn't even earn that money and fame but feel entitled to it for themselves.

Pathetic.

butterpuffed · 12/08/2025 11:58

I think Brooklyn is being controlled by his wife, he just does what she wants . He seems besotted but I guess he'll come to his senses at some point .

aperolspritzbasicbitch · 12/08/2025 11:58

I have no views on their vow renewal, but it’s disappointing to see how many people willing to pin any fall out blame on the woman in the relationship.
perhaps the Beckhams are difficult? Perhaps Brooklyn has issues with the way their family do things? It’s not always a woman’s fault.
jesus, I have had a fall out with my DP’s mum, and have no intention of having any sort of relationship with her.
DP can absolutely crack on and maintain their relationship - it’s no skin off my nose.
Brooklyn is capable to making his own decisions, I’m sure.

Fernie6491 · 12/08/2025 11:58

Peclet · 12/08/2025 10:58

He is the product of a brand family with his life documented and in the public eye. This has been a choice by his family and now by him. With no real purpose or talent and too much time on his hands.

Cannot be easy being rich and bored, this is not a facetious comment. Too much time spent looking inwards. Must be a head fxxk.

Exactly the same as Prince Harry now. No discernible talent, (even with speech-making it's probably written for him).

I agree i don't know anything about them really but to put two women against each other is mysogonistic,

mumofoneAloneandwell · 12/08/2025 11:59

So weird but also, i feel like nothing serious has happened and just argue over the pettiest things

Hardly- she's obviously the driving force behind brand Beckham and a very canny business woman. David alone would've done a few ad deals and just been a retired footballer on his own.

And designers who've worked with her say she's had high levels of input although obviously she's not drafting patterns herself.

This. I don't particularly like (or dislike) Victoria but she is clearly a hard worker.

She knows her stuff when it comes to fashion and maintaining her figure alone must take effort, however many personal trainers you have access to.

I think it must be horrible to grow up in this kind of vacuum. Wasn't he going to be a photographer and then chef, or the other way around, but seems to lack the commitment to do the learning required and just trade off the name.

When you see the likes of Gary Barlow's kids you think keeping them away from the spotlight and not giving them such recognisable names must be sensible.

Oh I am sure there is plenty of "sirs" who have cheated.

SteakBakesAndHotTakes · 12/08/2025 12:05

Something definitely very off with Nicola and the Peltz family. Addressing their anniversary message to 'Mrs Peltz and Brooklyn' was bizarre and very obvious.

I feel sorry for the Beckhams - they do seem like the in-laws from hell and I would worry if my son had become part of that family.

jumpingthehighjump · 12/08/2025 12:07

Well... D&V spoilt Brooklyn, so what do they expect? At 18, they gave him a £1million McLaren. WTAF
Then for his wedding they gave him a £380,000 vintage Jaguar.

Brooklyn has no purpose in life at all

The Beckhams might be loving parents but they really haven't got a clue. They have just produced aimless, bored children looking for the next bit of fun.
Haven't they built one of the other sons a recording studio because he could hold a note?!

crossedlines · 12/08/2025 12:10

Coffeeishot · 12/08/2025 11:53

Posters seems surprised that parents who chose the spotlight for themselves put their children in the spotlight.

But not all celebrities do. Some wouldn’t dream of it. We don’t have a clue what the children of some celebrities even look like because they don’t plaster their photos all over social media or post about what they’ve done this week/ had for dinner etc etc

The Beckhams seem to have this image as a very close family, very hands on parents (and maybe this much is true) but imo they have been highly irresponsible by not respecting their children’s privacy. They’ve shoved them into the media limelight constantly. They’ve made them part of the brand. That’s a choice for David and Victoria; it’s not for children who are exposed before they’re old enough to consent.

Add in a seeming disregard for real education and you end up with children growing up without a sense of genuine aspiration and without the space to maybe develop their own interests in privacy. A pp mentioned that maybe the Beckhams thought an expensive education would do the job for them. A private school can’t compensate for parents who dont value learning. David and Victoria are successful in their own fields because they are driven to achieve in those specific areas but I can’t imagine they’re the sort of people who read books, talk about current affairs, show a genuine interest in the wider world.

king Charles is also an adulterer so I don’t think the bar is set very high.

All signs point to this. I hope he gets out soon.

EvenMoreCrisps · 12/08/2025 12:12

Why are people describing an adult man as a 'boy' and having been 'taken' from his relatives? 😆

It's a bit pathetic that instead of doing anything with his days he's just begging for attention, but oh well.
