Did anyone see it? Northbound between Oxford and Cherwell Valley at around 1330?

traffic stopped, entrance blocked, loads of motorbikes, black SUV’s, Black range rovers all with blacked out windows, about 30 vehicles, plus a helicopter.

Wonder who it was for? I assumed Royalty but I’ve seen them before in London and on motorways and the entourage was nothing like this, no helicopter either.

He landed at Stansted. Which is our secure airport for anything high risk

He did this time but the airport used varies, last time POTUS came through he used Mildenhall, Biden used Heathrow in 2021.

21 vehicles in his entourage to Hampton Court this morning. And a helicopter

Subtle

Wants to check out the golf? Or the Fringe?

Hell no 😡
I don't know anyone up here who'd feel warm & fuzzy about that.
We just got rid of one wrong un.
Where's Janey Godley when you need her (RIP you funny funny woman)

Given 7 US presidents have been shot it might be worth letting another country with some decent security skills have a go at the job of keeping the fool safe.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

let's leave them to it!

Sancerrewoman · 10/08/2025 18:37

It’s so obvious where he’s staying the police presence is immense. As someone who lives very locally, it’s a quite annoying

JSMill · 10/08/2025 18:38

Probably JD Vance

murasaki · 10/08/2025 17:30

I read that the secret service people were going to local's houses asking for details of everyone who lived in the house. And were quite reasonably told no. I do hope that's true. He really thinks he's more important than he is.

What on earth is it going to be like when the orange oaf is here for his state visit in September, they will have to lock down great swathes of London. Is he going to stay with Charlie Boy at Balmoral as well?

Do you honestly believe that our vice president's life would be entrusted to foreign country's security?
They use their own equipment and personnel, flying on a US Air Force C-17 Globemaster or C-5 Galaxy aircraft, landing at a USAF base in the UK.

They’ll fly him over and I suppose they might supply the vice-presidential bullet proof car with his communications equipment etc in it. But as far as I know foreign police and agents are not allowed to carry guns in the UK.

So all the motorcade vehicles will be UK police and anyone armed will be a UK police or security service person.

All the US secret service are doing is staring at crowds and modelling ill-fitting suits.

Trump came in and out at Prestwick along with the C17s

But then its such a quiet airport it would be easier to make secure for his arrival

Why are our tax payer police resources being used on this person? Why are they not bringing their own security/using private security uk based?

Maybe they're using some of our security but I got stopped as they passed through Chevening and it was majority US vehicles.

Wolbutter · 10/08/2025 17:45

He was at Hampton Court today.. according to our local Facebook someone shouted "your gaffer's a nonce" at him and the secret service/ bodyguards did not seem happy. Sometimes I really love our country 🤣

Wonderful response.

notimagain · 10/08/2025 18:46

But as far as I know foreign police and agents are not allowed to carry guns in the UK.

Not correct,.it's an "it depends:,.IPP status etc.

Would you really want the type of people they employ for security running around in the UK?

Mousehi · 10/08/2025 18:49

I could walk into Vance in asda and not have the faintest idea.

Although if I did realise I'd ask him where his suit was. Dress for the occasion of asda, Vance!

RedToothBrush · 10/08/2025 18:50

We are stroking his ego. Ego stroking is an investment in our future and in business.

It probably costs us less than it would if our US trade tariffs were higher.

Edited

I’m happy to be corrected. Do you have a link? I can’t find anything that confirms that US or other agents can walk around with guns even if they’re with the President etc of their country who’s in the UK.

Yeah be that fucking cock womble Vance.

He speaks very highly of you.

I heard it was just security for his collection of eyeliners.

😂😂😂

Princess Anne drove past me on her way to a charity event in town. She was in a big old Bentley type car and driving herself whilst chattering away with a chap in the passenger seat. No outriders, no blue lights, no kerfuffle.

For a lady who was very nearly kidnapped as a young woman, that's quite impressive.

Interesting now you ask it"s hard to find one..I remember there"s been controversy in the past (Blair's era) and some talk more recently that only POTUS/VPs close protection officers can be armed...

I have to say I'm not sure I'd like to test the system find out...

Booboobagins · 10/08/2025 19:08

Why are tax payers funding a fkg entourage for that AH? Has he been threatened?

Frankly he should be banned from the UK after his inflammatory behaviour. And no idea why DT is allowed her either.

Pair of DHs.

nameymcchangy · 10/08/2025 19:09

I saw Trump's motorcade a few months ago and it was just like this

sorry To burst your bubble but all marked vehicles and motorbikes were the British Police… so it seems like it was a collaboration
