I'm trying to think what they have achieved. So far it just seems a mess.
i) Taxation. Record increases but they still screwed up as the audits are saying they are not going to meet the targets so leading to even higher taxation.
ii) Welfare. Screwed up the changes and had to roll back significant ones. Leading to a mess that ended up with the chancellor crying in parliament.
iii) Winter Fuel. Now they are trying to mitigate this and roll it back.
iv) Internet. Spectacularly useless changes which expose people to data fraud while allowing anyone who wants to circumvent easily with a VPN. Admittedly some of this was carry over policy from the Tories, but they had the change to review it.
v) 16 year olds the vote. Just basically gerrymandering.
vi) Stop the boats. Ripped up the Tory policys and implemented equally ineffectual ones of their own and achieved nothing in the process.
vii) House building. Have got nowhere near the targets they need so far and are pissing people off by giving build over permission to stuff like allotments.
viii) Chagos Islands. Now apparntly we are going to have to pay some massive multiple more than was originally estimated, in a time when we are screwed for cash.
ix) Overseas aid. They are taking a massive slice out of that to pay for weapons.
x) Over 70s sight tests. Sounds good on paper. but when you look at the stats poor eyesight is attributed to hardly any deaths. A lost opportunity to implement real policy that makes a difference, but a good extension to the culture wars against the elderly.
There is probably more stuff I have missed out. But they have been utterly rubbish. I'm not even going to go into their handling of the Israel situation.
One good thing. They have managed to negotiate a preferential trade deal with Trump. Which is probably more due to the fact Trump likes the UK rather than any great negotiating skills. Even this is not without controversey as it annoys a lot of their supporters quite a bit that the UK has actually got a better deal than the EU after Brexit.
