What did you eat today?

A few months ago there was a really fun series of threads where people listed what they’d eaten that day (and had a general chat).

I really enjoyed it but can’t find it anymore so I thought I’d start one.

It was really interesting and varied (it’s not a weight loss or judgy thread- unless the judgement is ‘that sounds delicious, what’s the recipe/where did you buy it?’). Everyone is welcome!

Today I’ve had:
Breakfast- Scrambled eggs, sautéed veg (tomatoes, red onion, spinach, mushrooms). And tea with milk.

Snack- Americano with milk

Lunch- Chicken salad (chicken breast, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, avocado, sesame dressing).
Followed by low fat Greek yoghurt with peanut butter, strawberries, nectarine and blueberries.

Dinner- Will be roasted salmon, homemade potato wedges, roasted courgette/tomato/onion/fennel.
Followed by a watermelon and lime ice lolly (I make my own so it’s just fruit).

I’ve just started weight watchers so it’s not the most exciting day (I’ve also tried to cut out UPFs as much as possible and use my points on high fat whole foods like avocado and nuts). I’m looking forward to living vicariously through other people’s treats!

Lunch is wholemeal bread, cherry tomatoes, some Bernard Matthews chicken because it was reduced in the paper shop this morning, and a hard boiled egg.

Dinner - onion soup, bread, bit of Slimming World hummus (it's hummus, Jim, but not as we know it) and yoghurt with a banana.

FurForksSake · 08/09/2025 13:50

my unhealthy crap continues!

I’ve just had some crisps and some iced gems.

Ds is 10 today so I’ve got a couple of pizzas and then we have cake for dessert. My stomach hasn’t recovered from dinner out so I’ll not eat much.

I need to make a vat of soup I think, butternut and chilli with lots of added veg.

MrsSethGecko · 08/09/2025 13:59

Ooo Iced Gems. Haven't had those in years.

FurForksSake · 08/09/2025 14:01

These were in fact candy floss flavoured iced gems, my kids gems of choice 😆

The crisps were multipack McCoy cheese and onion as there was only one and they are one of my favourite crisp flavours. Any excuse!

MrsSethGecko · 08/09/2025 18:11

I remembered some apricots in brandy I made last Christmas so instead of banana and yoghurt I'm having a couple of those and yoghurt. All layered up in a fancy glass with some tropical granola.

FurForksSake · 08/09/2025 18:15

Oooh posh!

I had one tiny piece of pizza and one small piece of the cake. Hoping tomorrow I’ll feel a bit more settled in the tummy department.
