What did you eat today?

A few months ago there was a really fun series of threads where people listed what they’d eaten that day (and had a general chat).

I really enjoyed it but can’t find it anymore so I thought I’d start one.

It was really interesting and varied (it’s not a weight loss or judgy thread- unless the judgement is ‘that sounds delicious, what’s the recipe/where did you buy it?’). Everyone is welcome!

Today I’ve had:
Breakfast- Scrambled eggs, sautéed veg (tomatoes, red onion, spinach, mushrooms). And tea with milk.

Snack- Americano with milk

Lunch- Chicken salad (chicken breast, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, avocado, sesame dressing).
Followed by low fat Greek yoghurt with peanut butter, strawberries, nectarine and blueberries.

Dinner- Will be roasted salmon, homemade potato wedges, roasted courgette/tomato/onion/fennel.
Followed by a watermelon and lime ice lolly (I make my own so it’s just fruit).

I’ve just started weight watchers so it’s not the most exciting day (I’ve also tried to cut out UPFs as much as possible and use my points on high fat whole foods like avocado and nuts). I’m looking forward to living vicariously through other people’s treats!

Breakfast was my go to GY bowl with milled nuts and seeds, vanilla protein powder, some flaked almonds and 5 slices of peaches on top.

No lunch

Dinner was cold wild caught seasoned salmon with braised sweetheart cabbage, roasted new potatoes, green peppers, red onion, courgette and a lemony, mustard yogurt dressing. I managed nearly all of it today.

Pudding was a low carb cottage cheese and chocolate mug cake concoction with more almonds and a lemon squash.

I really enjoy a square of very dark (80%-90%) it's very rich and a square is enough. I've never really got the quanitity over quality thing, but we're all different.

Veg soup. I'm basically 80% courgette at this point. Soda bread. Plums.

Baked marrow (see what I mean) with cheese sauce, carrots, green beans.

Salad, new potatoes, plaice, blancmange and baked plums.

dinner - beef rendang (the beef has been in the fridge marinating since yesterday), onion bhaji, naan.

2 slices brown sourdough toast with butter and peanut butter

Tortilla chips and houmous, olives and sun dried tomatoes

B: 2 crumpets with buttery spread and jam. Tea, coffee.
L: Chicken & mushroom pie, roast potatoes, veg, gravy (all frozen stuff - apart from gravy!). Water.

snacks: Crunchie ice cream, bbq crisps, a chocolate homemade cookie. Decaf teas and coffees.

I didn't have breakfast today as I was feeling a bit off.
Made a big pan of chicken sweetcorn noodle soup for lunch. That fed 5 adults.
For dinner I made chicken curry, brown rice and salad with a yogurt and mint dressing.

D: King prawn chow mein with vegetable chop suey and two mini vegetable spring rolls
S: plum from the garden and come prawn crackers. The nightly square of dark chocolate
