What did you eat today?

A few months ago there was a really fun series of threads where people listed what they’d eaten that day (and had a general chat).

I really enjoyed it but can’t find it anymore so I thought I’d start one.

It was really interesting and varied (it’s not a weight loss or judgy thread- unless the judgement is ‘that sounds delicious, what’s the recipe/where did you buy it?’). Everyone is welcome!

Today I’ve had:
Breakfast- Scrambled eggs, sautéed veg (tomatoes, red onion, spinach, mushrooms). And tea with milk.

Snack- Americano with milk

Lunch- Chicken salad (chicken breast, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, avocado, sesame dressing).
Followed by low fat Greek yoghurt with peanut butter, strawberries, nectarine and blueberries.

Dinner- Will be roasted salmon, homemade potato wedges, roasted courgette/tomato/onion/fennel.
Followed by a watermelon and lime ice lolly (I make my own so it’s just fruit).

I’ve just started weight watchers so it’s not the most exciting day (I’ve also tried to cut out UPFs as much as possible and use my points on high fat whole foods like avocado and nuts). I’m looking forward to living vicariously through other people’s treats!

tuna ,sweetcorn and red onion mayo on French bread with cheese and onion crisps

pasta with tarragon cream sauce with leeks,mushrooms and bacon

Prawns, chicken, rocket, avocado, cucumber, mixed toasted seeds

2 squares sea salt dark chocolate

Chunk of manchego, loads of sour cream pretzels

Aperol spritz, 5 teas, 2 zero sugar apple tangos, 2.5 litres water

Porridge and Brown sugar

Tuna salad sandwich, coleslaw. Strawberry and rhubarb crumble 🤤

Pork chop, rice, green beans, coleslaw.

Tiny glass red wine. Bit of mild cheddar.

Water. Coffee. Diet Pepsi.

b - yoghurt and Fruit
l - salmon quiche and salad
d - chicken goujon wraps with salad and spicy rice.

I’ve ordered a small Tesco shop (struggling to get a specific drink) and ordered all the bits to make nachos tomorrow with the kids. And while I was there I added three boxes of ice creams so I might have an ice cream this evening!

Tesco didn’t deliver two out of three boxes of ice creams. The third was liquid.

also I didn’t make spicy rice I burnt sweet potato fries instead.

and I didn’t eat the quiche. I had some ham.

Luckily I found a mini magnum so survived 🤣 today I’m going to Lidl to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

So far, so simple today -

One slice of tiger bread toast with butter
One banana

I suppose I should go shopping as the fridge is a a tad depleted, but it’s a hot and humid day here and I can’t be arsed. A pp mentioned boiled eggs and toast soldiers, and that’s the current favourite for tea.

B - frozen mango, yogurt and honey.
snack - grapes and cherries.
L - cheese pickle and salad wrap, packet of salt and vinegar crisps.
snack - graze cherry bakewell graze flapjack.
dinner will be - something. I’m not sure yet. Maybe lasagne with garlic bread. Maybe something else. We shall see. Drinks, coffee, Diet Coke and lemon squash.

seems like loads compared to most people! 😂.
