Best crisps ever

What are they, in your opinion?

I want crisps.
I love them all though.
I can't go buy 20 different varieties.
(Or can I? 🤔)
There'll definitely be some Kettle Chips Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar in my basket.

What else should I get?

I miss ready salted chip sticks!

Otherwise I’m partial to a wotsit, frazzle and smokey bacon walkers

WTDress · 05/07/2025 18:57

Co op sea salt and Chardonnay vinegar

WTDress · 05/07/2025 18:58

Or ready salted Pringles

Why do they call it ready salted by the way, rather than than just salt flavor?

My very favourite! I can only get either via Amazon or Asda (which is a 30 min drive away and don’t deliver here)

Worcester Sauce French Fries

love em

I need some

probably because originally they came with a sachet of salt so you had to put the salt on yourself
now they come, ready salted!

Arran2024 · 05/07/2025 19:02

Pret a Manger cheese is the best of all crisps. I adore crisps. I would say McCoys cheddar and onion is a close second.

I wonder if it goes back to when plain crisps had a sachet of salt in the bag.
I may be way off.

Tesco Finest beef & horseradish.

JohnsShirt · 05/07/2025 19:08

Co-Op chardonnay wine vinegar and sea salt.
They kill my tongue but they're delicious

Ooh thanks! I did mention Brets earlier on - the tartiflette ones are my favourite. Closely followed by all the others. I wasn't aware you could get them here so thanks for the link.

I’m sure they sell them in other places near you too - my nearest farm shop sells them, on what appears to be a rolling basis flavour wise. If you’re in / near W Sussex I’ll let you know which one! But, I always bring them back when I’ve been in France as well! :)

Mods really need to start banning users who don't understand the difference between a crisp and a corn/potato snack 😡

My dog knows the difference. He refuses to eat any reconstituted potato / corn chips!

ChessorBuckaroo · 05/07/2025 19:38

Wotsits. Can go through a bag of six in no time.

Have to check out Co op sea salt and Chardonnay vinegar. Hope it lives up to the billing!

Only crisps I don't like are ready salted so avoid any multipacks with them in it as they just get left.

Salt and Shake, without the salt 😋

Zanzara · 05/07/2025 19:51

Anyone venturing to Spain, Mercadona have just launched their own salt and vinegar crisps, in a dark blue bag. They are seriously EPIC (and gluten free @Alaja and clearly labelled as such. Mercadona are a very Coeliac friendly company, the Chairman's daughter is a Coeliac 💕).

We need more of this! 😊

Salt and vinegar hula hoop pufts are amazing…and like hen’s teeth…
I had the M&S salt and vinegar crisps today - they’re lovely too!

CoastalCalm · 05/07/2025 19:55

My ultimate are sadly deceased Brannigans ham and pickle

deeahgwitch · 05/07/2025 20:10

Tayto Cheese and Onion
Delicious as a sandwich between two slices of white pan and Irish butter.

The lamb and mint were amazing too. I can't believe they kept the worst flavour (beef & mustard).

Brannigans beef and mustard but don't exhale through your nose while eating them

KP stopped making them in 2020.

Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli. Elite.

stample · 05/07/2025 20:56

Atstritchsitchmitch · 05/07/2025 20:59

Lays Campesinas (the green packet from Spain) the best crisps in the world!
