Labour governs for its clients and not the country. Always reverts to type.

Blackbelt Barrister - talking about how the councils are doing with your money.

Good morning! Sorry for the lack of input last week. I was giggling on my sun lounger reading your posts twisty 😂. First stop for Jezza was the Labour council bin strike. Genius.

I see Streeting has changed his tune over the striking doctors. He's using rather different language now he's the actual health secretary. Funny that. That's what happens when you pay ransoms Wes.

Starmer is slithering up to Trump's golf course today to kiss the ring. I love watching him squirm. Obsequious tosspot.

And now nurses talking about strikes!

Yes. Paramedics too I believe?

It was obvious that they'd be back for more. It didn't stop Streeting crowing and boasting about how his superior governance had ended the strikes when they came to power.

Autumn of discontent if teachers strike too.
I don't want anyone to strike in reality but there's a huge part of me which wishes the whole public sector would go on strike and bring down Labour.

The unions might all support JC's new party.
That'd be a financial blow for Labour and if enough of them 'crossed' the floor then Labour might struggle for a majority in the HoC.

That would be delicious :-)

Wes Streeting has certainly changed his tune. I cannot believe they did not write a clause into the massive big rise doctors were given last year. And now they are back again for another massive increase and also the nurses and if they cave, it will be teachers, train drivers, refuse collectors, ambulance drivers and we are back to the 1970s.

On a happier note well done to our Lionesses...woohoo! Although Chloe Kelly crowing she is proud to be English has triggered the wrong-think police who will be arresting her when she steps off the plane 😁

And on an even happier note, how wonderful to see EU president Ursula Von Der Leyen on Brexit Britain soil agreeing to worse terms than the UK with Donald Trump.

Arrearing50 · 28/07/2025 11:17

Labour haven’t helped themselves - all of the new Labour mob thought giving the pay rise without getting reform agreements was a mistake last year - yet another thing coming home to roost.

it is sad seeing Wes now turning labour’s nasty rhetoric on nhs staff and not just the traditional Labour enemies…where’s the optimism?

maybe they’ll get a football boost! I bet the Labour cabinet are on the phone securing top seats for the victory rally. They should go the whole hog and try and buy us with an extra bank holiday to celebrate!

I’m not on X but dh showed me some responses under KS tweet on the football. Scathing but made me laugh.

Haha yeh. They usually get snooty and find it repellent. Hypocrites that they are.

CinnamonSquirrels · 28/07/2025 13:49

What's snooty about finding the flag's associations with the far-right and football hooliganism repellent? I find it even more repellent since Reform have adopted it.

twistyizzy · 28/07/2025 14:44

This is hilarious, Starmer squirming, fidgeting and desperate to call Trump "far right" 🤣 The best bit is "boats full of bad people" when Starmer had told us they were full of doctors and engineers etc. Then to top it off Trump's comments about free speech. You couldn't have created a better AI satire piece than this:

It is crazy 🤪
Starmer completely out of his depth and having to buddy up to Trump and cow tow to him 🤣 Man is an embarrassment to himself and us!
