He’s hit me and I don’t know what to do

I’m crying and I probably won’t make much sense but please try to help me see straight.
Had an awful evening. I know it started as my fault. I was cross as trying to house train two puppies but it’s been a bad day with them today. I was a bit annoyed and swore. I didn’t swear at anyone, it was a case of oh ffs, this is getting ridiculous.

He was angry with me and we argued. It’s eventually ended up with him grabbing my wrists, shoving me against the bedroom wall and then hitting me in the face. My nose hurts, so does my shoulder.

I’m now going to be homeless. I’ve no family, no friends anymore, don’t work and I live in his house. I’m so utterly pathetic.i can’t drive as I’ve had two glasses of wine but come tomorrow I’ll have to leave.
I’ve allowed myself to end up in this position , I’m in my late 50’s and I can’t believe I’ve been so bloody stupid.

I’ve had a few more calls today from a with held number, I turned off voicemail last night.
His son in law texted earlier, asked if I was ok and would I call him. I replied that I’m fine thanks for asking but that I don’t want to get into any further discussion.

It’s my birthday tomorrow, we’re going to the Italian place we went last week.
The weekend is busy, sb had asked me to help him sort his garden, at the moment it’s grass, a patio and a couple of shrubs. I’ve got him on Pinterest to see what kind of things he likes, then Saturday we’re heading off to B&Q plus a garden centre to get some plants and tools. Saturday evening we’ve been invited to a bbq at his friends house and Sunday we will be making a start on the garden.

So lovely to read your update OP. You sound so much more upbeat and relaxed (not surprising!). How lovely to hear that you are getting your life on track so quickly, thanks in no small part to your SB and his lovely neighbours. When you think of how far you have come in, what is it, a week, two weeks? You should be so proud of yourself.

There is no reason to protect him. I'd text SIL and say he's hit me more than once and each time said if I didnt like it there's the door. I walked through it and I have no intention of returning. I'm happier now.
