What’s your first world problem today?

I need to read some other people’s first world problems so I feel better about myself 🤣

Mine is that this is the first year in 12 years we haven’t been able to afford to go on our yearly few nights away. We usually do 4 nights in Cornwall, we’ve gone at least once a year since I was a child and now I’ve carried it on for my own kids; but the rise in prices in bills, childcare and food has left us pretty breadline now and we just cannot afford to go away. I know how it sounds too, it’s soooo trivial and ‘woe is me’ but I can’t help but feel sad.. no holiday for us! 🤣

so please tell me your trivial issues today!

Treated myself to a fancy lampshade £££.
Didn't go with the room decor, so sent it back.
Got an email saying they'll do store credit as I'd taken it out of it's plastic.

Used the store credit plus a top-up ££££ to get a cushion, lovely as it is, it doesn't suit the room. Argh!!

In the chaos of Christmas, box re-purposed to post off a Christmas gift. So now can't return as has to be in original packaging.

For a final kick, it's now on sale at 70% off!!

I'll grow to love it right? 🫣.

You obviously need a new house to match your cushion. Simples

People who don’t display blue badges in marked parking bays. Perhaps they don’t recognise the symbol, and can’t read the signs.

My nose has been leaking two streams of snot since Christmas Eve. If my hands are busy so I can't constantly wipe and blow it the snot runs down to my top lip, all it needs is some ice cream and sand to do a perfect imitation of a toddler in a sand pit. My temperature is usually 36.5 but it has been between 38 and 39 since I first remembered to test on Christmas day. I feel like crap, carefully timing the lemsip/paracetamol/cold and flu capsules and eagerly anticipating the next dose, but I'm up and moving around so it's a very mild dose of the flu compared to what a lot of people are experiencing. Perhaps because I took the vaccine when offered in October?
Very 1st world problem to sit in a cosy, centrally heated house, with plenty of food and a stock of cold remedies, and bemoan a touch of the flu, but my inner resources seem to crumble just when I need them to help me rise above these rather pathetic earthly tribulations.

I caught the dog’s water bowl with my slipper as I was walking past it and cold water poured right in between my foot and the sole. I could only find one of my slipper socks and it’s too cold to have bare feet. So I’m walking around very lopsided but at least my feet are warm.
