Holiday today 😃

Going on holiday today everyone is very excited . I'm shitting it at the same time though.

I need to get to Liverpool street station. My original thought is to get the bus all the way there I think it said 1hr 20 min. Or I could get a train with 2 changes which would take me about half the time. But once im on the bus I don't have to worry . So maybe I should stick to that.

As we are getting to the resort late about 10.30pm will there be any food available? Just snacks or something. We are all inclusive which includes main meals, snack s drinks

OP, I bet once you get home your kids immediately start asking 'when can we go again?'

Enjoy your last day and, if you can manage it, try to get one souvenir (a key ring or fridge magnate are good ideas) to remember this trip by.

PinkPinkPinkBlue · 15/06/2025 09:36

@Youagain2025 I hope you and your kids had a lovely break away from normal everyday life! You should be extremely proud of what you have achieved and ignore the couple of negative/snippy posts above, some people get a kick out of being mean to complete strangers online.

Enjoy your last day, you will look back very fondly on your week away in months come. Wishing you safe and easy travels home!

PinkPinkPinkBlue · 15/06/2025 09:38

@Youagain2025 have you managed to take lots of photos of the kids in the pool etc? They will enjoy looking back at those and remembering the fun they had on their first holiday and you can look at them and be proud of what you achieved.

Have a lovely last day!

Noodlehen · 15/06/2025 13:04

I agree with the person who said you’re being negative.

the holiday hasn’t been ideal, but it’s your last day and you’re not taking your kids out to do something even though they and you don’t love the hotel because you’re worried it will stress you out. That’s quite selfish, and you’re not giving yourself enough credit considering you’ve managed to get this far. Take them for dinner, take them to a waterpark like others have suggested.

google is your friend, there is no excuse for not making the most of the time you have there.

Sounds like a lovely day. Don't forget the fridge magnet! I love having holiday ones on my fridge as they bring back good memories.

@Youagain2025 the on site water park looks great fun! Your hotel in general looks really nice and has good facilities and doesn’t look overly busy from the photos, bet the kids are absolutely loving it.

PinkPinkPinkBlue · 15/06/2025 15:06

@Youagain2025 are you flying back tonight or tomorrow? I thought tonight but now reading the thread I think tomorrow, if that’s the case you have all day tomorrow to have fun and make memories.

That's a nice late check out. U can still use the pool etc after that if you'd like to

AmelieSummer25 · 15/06/2025 15:55

Ignore all the shitty posts, some weird people just enjoy trying to bring others down.

You have done incredibly well, especially as a person with some learning difficulties of her own, to do this. Some people will never understand your struggles / that's on them, not you!!

im glad you've had a great time - it's rare not to have any 'niggles' on holiday & each time you learn something new in the way to avoid a previous niggle (or accept that they will happen given the type of holiday it is). It's life!

Hope you enjoy the rest of your time & your trip home goes smoothly 😁

Glad to hear they are enjoying now but I’m only going of your posts - food is crap / it’s noisy / DS10 isn’t enjoying it and says it should be 1* / you’re chilling in your room / you don’t recommend it more than once.

you could make the most of it and try something new rather than complain on mumsnet for the entire trip until the last day. But perhaps it’s just your nature.

Edited

Its because some people are missing the fact I have said niggles several times yet people seem to ignore that word and reply like the holiday is a disaster.

Ds10 is autistic so some of the stuff is linked to his autism. Ie he was really upset that the pools are salt not chlorine he's never going in that pool again they have scammed us. Also ds with within 10 min in the pool splashing about.

Its not about me moaning the entire time at all its about some people here deciding to miss the word niggles and make a small couple of bits I said onto a big thing and ignore that fact I have said several times it's little things and we are enjoying it.

Looks great fun for the kids - great too that there are others for the DC to make friends with but not at all crowded - no fights for the sun loungers!

😅 we did sometimes struggle for loungers but not overly bad . Just had to hunt a bit . People did do the towel thing though.

Yeah but I still packed quite a bit. I had to pack it in a certain way to get it in. I didn't want to faff in the morning. Plus it's easier to do it when kids are asleep. It's done now anyway.

Safe travels home and I don't think it will be too long before someone asks you when can they go again😆
Be proud of stepping so far out of comfort zone.. That takes courage.
