Holiday today 😃

Going on holiday today everyone is very excited . I'm shitting it at the same time though.

I need to get to Liverpool street station. My original thought is to get the bus all the way there I think it said 1hr 20 min. Or I could get a train with 2 changes which would take me about half the time. But once im on the bus I don't have to worry . So maybe I should stick to that.

As we are getting to the resort late about 10.30pm will there be any food available? Just snacks or something. We are all inclusive which includes main meals, snack s drinks

2.5 hours before a flight is more than sufficient if you've only got hand luggage. Don't stress!!
In the meantime check out your dinner options - there's at least a Boots, WHSMith and Pret after security on the map Terminal Guide | London Stansted Airport

Edited

We made it. Yeah will look when we are there. Its lind of falling into place to be honest

Have you been through security yet?

WeMeetInFairIthilien · 11/06/2025 14:06

Good luck! I hope your travels go well, and you have the most amazing time. I've been following along with your threads for a while.

Last AI hotel we stayed at, had a snack bar open until 11pm.

@Youagain2025 have a great holiday!

Buy water etc from Boots before boarding the plane, the inflight drinks are very expensive, £4 for a can of coke/sprite etc.

Never buy water at an airport, take an empty water bottle through security and there's water fountains airside! Too late for the OP now though.......

Yeah we got through in 5 min. We decided to get the lanyard. We are eating at the moment.

Are we allowed to make snacks on the plane? Ds said something about being careful about what you can take.

you can take anything you like to eat on the plane apart from hot food and drinks. If you buy Duty Free alcohol you can't drink it onboard.

Awww I remember your previous threads and all the patronising stick you got. Glad it’s all falling into place. Have an amazing holiday!!

I'm really delighted that you all made it and everything fell into place. The unknown is always the scariest thing but you've done it, you brought your kids away and you should be proud of yourself .

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

Ps I actually woke this morning thinking that today's the day.

Go to the Chinese owned shops to buy anything you need, far cheaper than others.

65 euros? That's outrageous.
Hotel looks lovely. Are you going to go in the pool? You didn't mention packing swimwear.
Have a fantastic time and enjoy the all inclusive food and drinks.

Quick rinse of the one you travelled in will be fine, will dry super quickly.

Aw this is such an uplifting thread. So glad to read something so positive and happy! Enjoy, and as pp said, anything (and I mean ANYTHING) you might need can be bought at the brilliant Chinese shops. They are my secret pleasure when in Spain, like a treasure trove!

If you want to say, where are you i.e. mainland or islands, Spain or..... Just nosey me as it looks terrific.
