Names that would be pretty if they weren’t already other things

My daughter and I have been talking about names that would be beautiful if they weren’t already other things (mainly sparked by me saying that MacKenzie wouldn’t be a good name because it is a surname). So far she has suggested Cathedral, Fajita and Café. I have come up with Cellardoor.

What do you think?

Wren. It's a cheap kitchen range, not a girl's name.
Pandora. Don't open the box.
Delilah. Read the Bible story.
Lucifer. It is literally Satan.

Delilah is really pretty. We used to have a cat called Delilah, shortened to Deli. Lilith and Jezebel also work well with pets, if you like the way they sound but don't want to use them for children.

Pulp's keyboardist is Candida Doyle and my aunt (who significantly predates Amazon) is Alexa.

The one I can't get my head around people using is Tiberius. Yes, it sounds great, but wouldn't you have a quick Google to find out what the original Tiberius was like before giving your child that name for life?!

July's been used, Augustus and Noel/Noelle.

Worked in the same place as somebody called Psyche and Antigone was in my year group at school (is that near enough to Antimony for the PP, maybe?). It did cross my mind when being pestered by the ex MIL to name the future child after her father or preferably her if a girl that telling her the baby would be called Amanita Muscaria or Dimetrodon Boletus might make her go away in the hope I came to my senses after giving birth.

Candida is actually a girls name coming from the Latin meaning white. Its used in Spain as a name.

I found this out recently. Apparently, unsurprisingly, the fungus was named as such because the cultures are white.

I think Amylase (a protein produced in your pancreas and salivary glands) would make a beautiful girls name.
