And I agree, they should have done that in the first place.

Sure as Hell the King, Starmer, Alan Sugar and the likes of Mick Jagger don't need it.

But how they are going to do this is a bit of a puzzler.

Looks as if Labour's plan is to give WFA to more pensioners, whilst pretending that they can only do so because they've done such a good job with the economy. 😂

Gordon Brown has been interviewed. He said higher rate tax payers should be exempt from receiving WFA. No shit Sherlock. Shame he didn't think of that when he introduced it.

When did Starmer ever get the WFA?

EasternStandard · 22/05/2025 09:08

More and more people are seeing through their obvious lies and spin. I think that’s their biggest issue.

Chagos is money we don’t have.

My bad, I thought he was a pensioner but I see he is now 62. 😳

But I think you get my point...

This is not the first time you have mentioned Lord Ali and Starmer. I am curious to know why you keep repeating the rumour that Starmer is gay? What's your point?

Yep.
The Chagossian people don't want it either. They have been demonstrating. The urgent legal application for interim relief was brought by a Chagossian lady.

@PlutoCat I am pretty sure there’s no smoke without fire and now more smoke about the arsonist - what is your point ? Although I stand by my original observation Starmer is too dull/plain/nasel to be gay

What an expensive mess. Can it be overturned at next GE I wonder, that would save some billions.

Great if it’s stopped now but if it is temporary stalling.

Parsley1234 · 22/05/2025 09:32

@EasternStandard was it even in their fake manifesto ?

My point is as follows.

It comes across as though you think the possibility of Starmer being gay is a stick to beat him with. It gives the impression of someone who thinks being gay is something shameful. The fact that you don't think he is actually gay yet you keep repeating the rumour (now with a gleeful sprinkling of references to "rent boys") reinforces that impression.

This latest post suggests you have an odd and rather stereotypical view of gay men.

Government borrowing for April was £22.2 billion (ONS). Prediction was £17.6 billion.

Fourth highest April on record.

@PlutoCat i am the biggest fag hag ever so your assumption is quite funny if it wasn’t so stereotypical yourself. My preferred demographic to hang out with are gays so wind your neck in. My observation of the tragic PM of this country is one that is shared far and wide what I do think is tragic is that if he is with lord ali just come out and stop deceiving the country and if he’s using tent boys what a twat

Thank you @EasternStandard Flowers
MN have been made aware of my concerns. They have also advised that any further incidents of goading should be reported.

Excellent news this morning, not. Just a reminder that inflation was at 2.2 when labour took office. Agree with @Boohoo76, you don't need a degree in economics to see the reasons.

Does this constitute playing 'fast and loose' with our economy? Or 'treading softly on our lives'? Will the rising cost of living affect 'working people'? Where exactly is Reeves going 'further and faster' to?

Chief economist at the BofE has also warned that the BofE has been cutting interest rates 'too fast'. It doesn't bode well for future rate cuts.

MN have been made aware of my concerns too. There are both nuance and balancing considerations in such conversations and it is not goading to put forward alternative ideas. It is debate.

Parsley1234 · 22/05/2025 09:53

Whoever came up with the slogan further and faster more money in people pockets needs to be sacked it’s so basic
