The Fishing communities were shafted by the tories.
Level of delusion on this thread is hilarious 😆

It's horrible that you find this topic funny. The tories did shaft the fishing industry. They were promised jam tomorrow as the agreement was due to end in 2026. They were only a year away. Now it's 2038.
You should read the article I posted upthread. It confirms that any attempt to paint this as a continuation as a lie. Do you have no sympathy at all for those who's livelihoods have been impacted?

Those laughing emojis again. I’m not sure why Labour use them often these days.

Sorry to break it to you but the posters on this thread are not 'Labour'. Hint - they are the ones in Downing Street.

The level of delusion on the thread is hilarious and this is a classic example.

And this kind of thing similar to the emojis.

EasternStandard · 20/05/2025 20:49

Are people angrier and sarcastic because Labour are not doing well?

Relax a bit. It’s not posters on mn doing it to Labour. Look at Starmer, Reeves and the general public for causes.

So why the hell do you read it? Genuine question. You have name changed, and followed me across two threads just to derail and get posts deleted.

Then scroll past or unwatch it! It isn't mandatory to read or participate in a thread if you think the posters on it are delusional.

Yes to this.

Agree with @twistyizzytoo there’s the hide thread option if it’s so bad.

So what if I have name changed since the previous thread started? Have you never name changed? The NC certainly was not on your behalf. Also, you are not synonymous with a thread just because you started it. FFS deluded much.

Read previous post. I have zero interest in Nuthatch personally. Stalking behaviour? FFS are you for real?

Why are you so aggressive if you don't have an ulterior motive? Swearing and really aggressive language. If this thread triggers you so much then don't engage with it.
Look after your own mental health, and that of others on this post. This style of aggression never ends well for anyone

What kind of ulterior motive could there possibly be on a thread like this? Have you read the level of political insight on it? The delusion continues...My mental health is spot on thanks. How's yours?

Agree. Just hide the thread if it’s that provoking.

And still with aggressive comments. Just unwatch the thread and chill

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 20/05/2025 21:35

It seems this thread is touching a nerve or five.

EasternStandard · 21/05/2025 07:35

Morning. Hopefully this thread can get back on track.

Remember whatever is happening to Labour it’s due to Starmer, Reeves and how the public react to them. It has nothing to do with a few posters on mn.

Be happy, hearing other people’s pov shouldn’t cause an outburst.

I’m sad some are leaving and hope @upstartled returns at some point. The Internet is big enough to hold different views, don’t chase people off it.

Boohoo76 · 21/05/2025 07:53

Big rise in UK inflation. Thanks Rachel.

Mypinkchequebookholder · 21/05/2025 08:10

Boohoo76 · 21/05/2025 07:53

Big rise in UK inflation. Thanks Rachel.

Inflation has risen under the current Labour government.
The Consumer Prices Index including owner occupiers' housing costs (CPIH) rose by 3.4% in the 12 months to March 2025, according to the Office for national Statistics.
This is a decrease from the 3.7% rise in the 12 months to February, but still indicates an increase in the cost of living

Boohoo76 · 21/05/2025 08:14

Paul Dales, chief UK economist at Capital Economics, said the higher-than-expected 3.5% figure for April "may suggest that the persistence of inflation is a bit stronger and/or businesses are passing on more of the recent rises in taxes".

Who would have thought that businesses would pass on tax rises…don’t need a degree in economics to work that one out.

EasternStandard · 21/05/2025 09:14

Reeves’ ‘disappointing’ every time doesn’t help. I mean it is their policies doing it.

User450877 · 21/05/2025 09:27

Not at all predictable was it…

EasternStandard · 21/05/2025 09:34

Oh and ‘further and faster’ not sure you’re meant to apply that to prices too

TheNuthatch · 21/05/2025 12:18

Thank you @EasternStandard Flowers
MN have been made aware of my concerns. They have also advised that any further incidents of goading should be reported.

Excellent news this morning, not. Just a reminder that inflation was at 2.2 when labour took office. Agree with @Boohoo76, you don't need a degree in economics to see the reasons.

Does this constitute playing 'fast and loose' with our economy? Or 'treading softly on our lives'? Will the rising cost of living affect 'working people'? Where exactly is Reeves going 'further and faster' to?

Chief economist at the BofE has also warned that the BofE has been cutting interest rates 'too fast'. It doesn't bode well for future rate cuts.

Thanks so much @TheNuthatchI’m glad mnhq are aware.

‘More money in your pockets’?

They may as well stick a tape recording in front of journalists with standard lines every time.
